Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator, Electric Hair Removal, Cordless Wet & Dry Use, (BRE635)

I was afraid of trying this, after reading about epilators, but I have to say I love this thing! It works especially well on all the peach fuzz on the sides of my face and neck, which makes makeup easier to apply.Couple of tips:1. Use after a shower and before applying moisturizer2. I didn't find the "facial cap" very helpful - I had to take it off in order to get the epilator close enough to my skin to use. I know it's there to help protect the skin on your face, but I just went slowly and found it worked great without the guard.

Not to sound dramatic but this thing has seriously changed me. I love the epilator part for my legs and the shaver part for everything else. I love that I can use it in the shower and run it under the water so theres no mess. The built in light is a nice touch. And when I use the shaver the hair that grows back isnt itchy or stubbly or prickly it's just amazing. The epilator hurts a little but it's honestly not bad (on the legs at least)

I've never used an epilator before, so this was all new. The first time I decided to try it in the bath so the hair would be nice and soft - yeeeouch!!! It felt like a million tiny razor blades! I know it's literally ripping the hair out by the root and there's some discomfort to be expected from that, but holy moly. I recovered and tried it again a week later on dry legs after a shower. It was still uncomfortable but not nearly as bad as that first time. I've continued to use it weekly for the last six or seven weeks without shaving in between and can see a noticeable decrease in the amount of hair that's regrowing. It does leave my skin rough - it's not silky smooth like I had hoped. It's almost like chicken skin when the hairs have been plucked. I've found that using a shower scrub after I've epilated has helped remove the dead skin pulled up by the epilator and the oils help moisturize. I've only used it on my legs, armpits, and upper lip so far - not sure how anyone would be able to stand to use it on more sensitive areas! It's taking longer than I'd hoped, but it is decreasing hair growth and I can wear shorts and skirts a week after using it and the hair is so fine it's hardly noticeable.

This epilator worked very well for me. It's wet and dry, which makes it super convenient since you can use it in the shower, but I find it gets more hair better using it dry. I've only used the full epilator so far, so can't say if the shaving head or sensitive area attachments are good or not. But the epilator itself is amazing! Andof course it hurts to epilate, but it doesn't pinch your skin, just gets the hair.

I’m not going to lie, when I heard the buzzing sound this thing made I think my life flashed before my eyes. However, it doesn’t hurt near as bad as it sounds. I used it on my armpits which I hadn’t shaved for 3 days, and it works as it should. It pulled the hair from the root with a slight pinch every time it made a connection with a hair that was long enough for it to grab. It was quick to use and I would recommend this product.

As someone who had never used an epilator, when I stumbled upon the idea, I was intrigued and nervous. I watched A LOT of how to videos, as stupid as that sounds, and I had to take my time and play with it a little. I found this one before it was released and thought it seemed like a good brand and a good buy, so I waited with bated breath for its release. I decided to wait to post my review until I was comfortable with using it and to ensure it wasn’t user error. I have gotten used to the pain and don’t end up with red dots anymore on my legs. I use this on my stomach and it does a really good job for the most part, but still irritates the skin. I can’t use this in other sensitive areas like under my arms or in my bikini line because it is just too painful. The attachments I did receive to stretch the skin and help with these sensitive areas really don’t do anything. When I use this on my legs, it either takes over an hour because I go back over that one hair it keeps leaving until it’s gone, or I give up after awhile and use my razor. I didn’t receive the razor head or the massage attachment. I thought I just didn’t order the one with those parts, because the instructions said that the attachments vary. However, as I’ve glanced at other reviews, it looks like I may be one of the few who didn’t get those attachments. This is true that the hairs will get pulled out but the design is such that it misses many hairs due to the shape of my legs. When the hairs come back in, some are more fine and thinner, but of course those stubborn ones that won’t leave are coarse and dark colored. This was a good buy as far as I figured it out and it works ok. Not having used another epilator, I would be curious to try a different one, especially after seeing reviews where they have better luck with a cheaper one. Be prepared to take your time letting it pull hairs or follow up with a razor. This is not something to be done last minute.

Love it, charges quick, only painful if you’re sensitive(especially during or near period) all the options such as heads or speed. Not a fan of the light as it’s not bright enough.
