Peugeot Elis Touch Rechargeable Electric Corkscrew With Foil Cutter, Carbone

As an avid wine lover, I've gone through quite a few electric wine openers. This Peugeot Elis Touch Electric Corkscrew opener is BY FAR the best one yet. It's fast, quiet, and well constructed. I even like the foil cutter better than the others!

I had an electric corkscrew from another well known brand for several years before it finally gave out. I didn't buy it again for several reasons. First, this corkscrew starts automatically when you push down on it and shuts off automatically when the screw reaches the bottom of the cork, which is then removed and no cork in the wine. removing the cork simply requires pushing the button on the top; simple! It does synthetic cork, grainy corks, etc. equally as well. As with every electric or manual corkscrew I've ever had, the foil cutter is not spectacular.

So, I do really like this corkscrew. It looks premium and feels premium. The action of the corkscrew is great. The foil cutter works well. However it does have some flaws. The first is that the very first cork I removed with it got stuck inside the unit and would not eject. The problem I believe is that the cork needs to be in contact with an inner housing that has ridges to keep the cork from spinning with the corkscrew as it’s pushed out. However when you remove a cork from a bottle, it can get lodged inside the unit slightly above the housing. Thankfully, because the housing is spring loaded, I discovered you can push the housing in slightly to make contact with the cork and it will come right out. The next thing, the unit just includes a usb cable with the base and no charging block to plug into. I mean seriously? This is an expensive corkscrew. Please provide what is needed to plug it into the wall. Lastly the cable provided is maybe 3 feet? I mean, come on, give at least a six foot cable. I do like the corkscrew, but I feel like 25% of what I paid for was the name.

Great, well made product. Never had to test battery life as we open one bottle at a time. But it’s never failed to open/then deliver the cork with ease.

I spent a little more hoping it would translate into a better device. Well, first I don't believe this is a Peugeot as in the well known French manufacturer. The logo resembles it but I believe is similar to mislead people.This was a gift for my wife. I gave it to her the end of February and sadly it is dead by March. It does not charge past one line. I have tried everything but it does not change fully and because of the it hardly has the energy to remove a cork. When it does it cannot eject the cork. It gets stuck inside the unit.I cannot say strongly enough how disappointing this item is. The right thing would be to accept a return and full refund but to date that is not happening.

We've had several electric corkscrews. All the others were cheap crap with weak batteries that would not hold a charge for very long, stopped working or broke in half. This Peugeot is great. I've owned it for several months and have only had to charge it twice, and we use it at least one, often two or three times, a week.

Bon, on ne va pas se mentir, mis à part les séniors n'ayant plus de force dans les mains pour ouvrir manuellement une bouteille, ou encore madame, lorsqu'elle décide d'ouvrir elle-même la bouteille de picrate alors qu'elle n'y est jamais arrivé avant ... c'est un outil pour fainéant !Et je revendique ce titre depuis que mon fiston me l'a offert pour Noel. Ça marche du tonnerre ! on appuie et hop c'est ouvert !magique ! pas d'effort ... trop cool.En plus ça tient bien la charge (usb) et c'est costaud. (j'en avais eu un plus "exotique" et franchement, il a cassé au bout de 10 bouchons) ...Bref, un bien bel outil, qui à défaut d'être indispensable, est très pratique et très sympa.

Lo he podido usar 2 veces. La tercera, ya no agarra el corcho, no lo saca, no hace nada, funciona al vacío. Es el tercer sacacorcho eléctrico de fabricación china( los primeros 2, comprados en Corte Inglés) que han dejado de funcionar. Éste último, al pensar que cuesta 100 euros y es ee Peugeot, iba a ser de mejor calidad. Un desastre made in China. Lo he devuelto. El transporte, un desastre también, ni me avisaron por sms o mail de que iban a venir a recoger, ni qué fecha, nada, el transportista se presentó en la puerta, el paquete no estaba preparado, Amazon y sus colaboradores dejan mucho que desear últimamente. Compraré menos en Amazon
