It's like I was there
A Very well told story. It pulls you in and you can visualise the book, almost like watching the story unfold on a screen.Nikkia is lucky to have her family to help her through her darker days. She sounds like she has her feet firmly on the ground

Strong girl
Very interesting true story. I'm not sure I could be so forgiving of such a haenus crime but i can understand why nikkia found it in her heart to forgive her mum. All the best for the future nikkia.

Review
I enjoyed reading about your life and am so glad it worked out well for you.You should be proud of yourself. God is good and I pray you have a great life. I'm glad you were able to understand your mom's illness and forgive her. Un forgiveness will only eat you up and stop you from moving on.Good luck for the future

Absoultely gripping !!
I decided to buy this book on kindle after reading a chapter for free on amazon. It's such a great read and very well written. The author Nikkia shows such strength and maturity and also such gratitude to those who were ever there for her including her stepmother Theresa. A very tragic story of lost childhoods but also one of compassion, unconditional love (for her mother) and the resiliance and strength of character to still rise. I just could not put this book down and am so thankful I stumbled across this and got a free chapter from amazon. This is a must read for everyone.

WOW
Wow every time I bookmarked I couldn't wait to get back to reading. Nearly missed my stop on the train a couple of times. True story on top of it. I recommend this book. Gives a whole new insight to mental health. Brilliant writing, well done.

Good read
Enjoyed this book even though it was very sad. Nikkia did well to turn out how she did in the end, she had a very tough life growing up, no child should have to go through what she went through losing her siblings so young and knowing it was her mum that killed them is awful.
