Tactical Boot Knife

I purchased this knife with realistic expectations of a product in this price range, and I was quite satisfied with what this item delivered. The quality was actually a bit more than I expected, though it's nothing to knock your socks off. The black coating on the blade is almost exactly like the spray on wrinkle paint I used to paint the valve cover on my old car, and it's a bit thicker than you really want for a blade coating. While inserting the knife into the leather sheath the coating on the tip began to wear off. Honestly, I don't care about that, as I didn't buy the knife to carry or use. It'll be fine sitting in my drawer.Here're the blade specs:* Cutting edge is about 3.3 inches long* Just shy of 0.75 inches wide at its widest point* About 1/8 inch thick in the center of the bladeThe handle is about 3.12 inches long, and about .75 inches wide in the center part that is supposed to fill the palm of your hand while gripping. If you have average-sized hands this handle is much too small to feel like a substantial tool in your hand. Compared to similar knives I own (Kershaw Amphibian,  Columbia River Knife and Tool 2020 AG Russell Sting Razor Sharp Edge Knife ) this feels much smaller and lighter, though neither of those knives offers a much better grip.In summary, it's a neat toy, the sheath is pretty junky and I wouldn't really consider carrying it or using it, except maybe to practice throwing a bootknife without risking damage to my nicer knives.

Well I just walked into my office after a day off to see that my knife came while I was out. Upon opening the knife, I discovered that the sheath is not a leather one. Instead it is a nylon sheath that doesn't seem very effective as a boot knife sheath. It has a loop for the belt option, and then a clip on the back side. The sheath is approximately 9" tall, belt loop take up 3-1/2" of that, clip (where it would sit on the edge of your boot is 5" down, leaving you only approximately 4" of the 9" sheath that will actually be inside your boot. Personally, I'll never be able to wear this knife as a boot knife as my boots are relatively loose around my calf. This knife would slide all over if not fall into or out of my boot.The knife itself seems to be a good little knife. Definitely need to sharpen it, but I don't mind that at all. Feels nice in my hand.Overall, good knife, not so good sheath. They shouldn't advertise a leather boot knife sheath, then send you a nylon belt knife sheath with a clip attached to it. I'm bummed, but still happy with the knife.UPDATE: I contacted the seller regarding the sheath and they offered me a full refund. Their communication was very prompt. Highly recommend this seller.

I'll break this review into 2. First, the knife is exceptional. Mine arrived quite sharp. It is well balanced and feels good in hand. This knife has a good weight to it, not too light, not too heavy. The handle has got that grippy feel to it but is not soft or rubbery. There is a hole in the top of the handle for attaching some cordage. This is not a utility blade, one look and you know this one is made for slashing and stabbing. Overall an excellent knife.The sheath is top notch. Usually the sheath is not remarkable or just adequate, but not in this case. It is heavy-duty leather, stitched very well. It has a good sized heavy-duty metal boot or belt clip on the back. It is button release, the metal button snaps firmly but quietly. Also this knife/sheath is universal in that it can be worn on either your left or right boot, or your left or right hip.Bottom line: A great knife at a great price. I may get 1 more to have 1 on each boot just in case.

I GOT the knike today....it is wonderful....I didn't buy for self defense or cutting up dead game I bought it to use in religious liturgy it represents the sword of the Spirit of the Word of God...it has and rubber handle... it is reasonably sharp ...it's got some type of blacking on the blade so it doesn't shine... the sheath that it fits into is very nice... it does have a nice buckel on the back to hold it to the side of your boot.... more than what I could have asked for... for the money.... buy one of these I believe you'll love it.... it is what it is... it's what you pay for its a wonderful knife. . . if you buy it don't like it send it to me I'll take it... it's more than what I was looking for in a knfe...Friar Brother Rodney

i just got this thing in the mail and i love it. i honestly adore this knife. i have been looking for a bad ass knife with a clip for a long time. it comes sharp, and it has an ammmaazzing feel too it. but i havent tried to sharpen it yet. so there could be problems later, but as of now. its my new daily carry knifeits been about 2 months since i bought this knife. only one probblem came up and that was when i was sharpening it it made this nasty screeching noise but i later found out you are supposed to oil a knife before you sharpen it and wow it sharpened so nicely!! easily worth the money and amazzzzzzzingly great!!______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________its been a bit since my last review. i always get so super hyped at a new knife. but this knife is and was a rare case. the knife was not as high quality as the sheath. the knife broke after frivolous uses..the sheath however has gone on to house every knife i own like a glove

Honestly, for the price, I couldn't ask for anything better. It's a great knife that can penetrate a lot of materials. My only complaint is that the factory edge wasn't that sharp, so I had to sharpen it myself to get it how I want it. Fits great in my boots.This one is totally my fault, but the tip on the knife is a bit bent because my friend wanted to see if the knife would penetrate the steel on his old beater car (spoiler alert -- it doesn't).

Excellent knife, very sturdy weight is just right and the handle offers excellent grip I was blown away from the quality of the sheath, it's not the same one pictured but maybe the 9" (the model I purchased) and 7" models have different styles. would have given 5/5 stars but the knife came very blunt, as in you could give it to a child to play with blunt (not that I would do that) but that was quickly remedied with my water stones.

This is my first boot knife and I'm very happy with it. It's made very well and comes super sharp. The handle is rubberized but feels very sturdy. This is a fair size for a boot knife so be sure you consider the length of the blade and how tall your boots are. The clip on the sheath is very firm and could not be pulled off the boot during normal use if the knife.Overall I couldn't be happier with this knife. Get one.

Was very dull straight out of the boxOther than that, is a decent knife. Smaller than expected but that ok.

I received an MTech USA MT-097 instead. (Seller confused?)Probably the same knife factory in China.Seems to be the same specs however the grip is hard plastic instead of rubberized. I'm OK with it but somewhat disappointed because I really wanted the Fury.

Bought one and then immediately ordered one more, it is that good. Thick and strong steel nicely sharpened, feels sturdy and heavy due to a lot of steel on it. Handle is made indestructible, fits any boot well. This is one of those rare times when you say that "too cheap to be any good" principle doesn't apply here. Truly recommend it to all those folks seeking one awesome boot dagger that won't break your bank account.
