It worked, beats paying $280 for one key with Toyota. The trick is to get it unlocked via the key fob programmer first. Then it was programmable! Bought 2 for safety.

I had ordered a similar key with the same specs from a different seller that would not program correctly. I returned it and ordered this instead, and was slightly nervous that maybe I was the problem - did I just order the wrong specs? I swear I looked at the FCC id, board number, etc! However, I I was pleased to find that this key paired with my vehicle correctly.

This FOB could not be programed with the “EZ Installer Car Key Programmer” from Tom's Key Company. In talking with their technical support, I was told they did not currently support this push-to-start FOB, so I returned the programmer and made an appointment at my local Toyota dealer to have the FOB programed and the blade cut for $169. At the Toyota dealership I was told they were unable to read the original key I used to drive to the dealership and had to erase all keys and program both my old and new FOBs from scratch for $369 (ouch)! The new FOB and blade seem to work fine thus far but I am disappointed the programming was so expensive...but that’s on Toyota.

Nothing about this add told me u have 2 pay alot 2 get these things programed!!!🤨
