The thieving squirrels are not depriving me of my sweet, succulent figs anymore! I see them walking around the fig tree trying to figure out a way around the spikes but to no avail.They have felt the pain and the war between man and squirrel is over. The time of the squirrel is over…the time of man is at hand.Middle Earth has achieved a peaceful, blissful existence. My precious is mine and mine alone.

Not so much for defeating squirrels. They walk right through and over them like it's nothing. There also very sharp. I stabbed myself plenty putting them on. It's defiantly made well and pointy like a needle.

Definitely sharp. Might be possible but I can't believe it's possible to install without getting cut at least once. Wrapped it around the 4 x 4 post for a bluebird house. Made 4 complete wraps around the post. A 4 foot black snake made it past and ate all the baby bluebirds. Total waste of money.

I ordered these in the hope that they could provide a barrier that would protect a bird feeder from squirrels. The feeder is mounted on a fence, so the squirrels have easy routes to the food without having to jump.These were fairly easy to install. We drilled screws through the holes and they are secure on the fence. The package includes cable ties, which would be more useful for installing around a tree or pole.The spikes are a thin metal and seem like they be easily bent by a big squirrel, but we've noticed that none of the squirrels try to walk on them. The problem is that they can jump over the spikes, so we needed to install longer strips around the feeder. We plan to try that and see if that thwarts the long jumps.

Once I removed all possibilities of squirrels bypassing the spikes, the squirrels have not been able to get past the 3 rows of spikes on the vertical tree.

I ordered these spikes to deter some birds that are constantly trying to build nests in the eaves of our patio…not only do they make a huge mess with the bird-doo 🫤 but they actually become a bit aggressive when we go outside to enjoy the patio. There is no way that these could be ‘humane’, at least not for birds. The spikes are ridiculously sharp! These even come with a pair of protective gloves to wear when setting them up. And when I say sharp, I MEAN SHARP…🩸like a strip of needles. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I want a safe, harmless way to keep them from making nests…I don’t want to hurt or kill them. If I can prick my fingers just opening the box, then they could absolutely hurt the bird. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This works, but wicked to install. You will get poked through the provided glove's. Be very careful.

These are good spikes but if you have to wrap it around a post or something, it doesn't go very far.Also I wouldn't bother with the cable ties as they will sun rot and break in a year anyway. Use stainless steel wire if you need to.The price seems a little high for the short length you get.
