These garden solar lights arrived in a cardboard box. Inside the box was two LED flame solar lights, ground spikes which were in 2 pieces for the main shaft and then the actual spike, and a printed instruction leaflet. The lights have the solar panel on the top, with the sides having a curving geometric pattern, and the actual LED lights inside. There is a button on the side of the light covered in rubber, this is the on and off button. The lights are made from a combination of plastic and metal, and measures 24 inches long which includes the ground spike – when the ground spike is pushed into the ground, the top of the light is obviously lower than 24 inches. The lights are waterproof and weatherproof so should be able to be left outside in the garden all year round – although in very cold weather, the battery life can be shortened considerably so it may be best to store them indoors away from frost and ice.When it gets dark, the lights turn on automatically. They have a warm fire flame light which is flickering and moving just like a real flame. The body of the light having a curving geometric design causes the design to be shone outwards onto the ground. The flickering flame effect is really beautiful and makes such a wonderful difference to your garden at night. The battery life depends on how much sunshine there is – in the summer the lights will stay on for longer. I have only tried them in winter when there is not much sunshine. It is also best to fully charge the batteries in direct sunlight for a few days before turning them on. The lights are good quality and should last for a long time.

These lights have been charging up for 2 days on very bright sunny days but they give off nearly any light -very disappointing

Had a few weeks seem to be working okay pretty pattern when lit up. some days some don't light up well or at all if its not too sunny they dont want to light up or some do for a couple of hours max. they fall apart so quite easily which is a pain if you have children and pets going past them. solar part doesn't clip in or wedge in like most do. it just lays in the top.

I already have some 99 led lanterns and got these to replace some that had stopped working over winter.Pretty good set and nice build quality, Im pretty impressed with them as whilst they don't quite match the levels of the 99 led units (flame effect is enhanced the more leds you have it looks less blocky in transition) they do look pretty good and realistic.end of March they were lasting 5 hours so would estimate not quite as long in winter as claimed but close, oddly in summer you don't need them to last as so its a shame they don't have a timer cut out but then none do so not a fault of these directlyAll in all good quality at a good price point
