Love this clear plastic (lucite?) music box! I selected the melody "Over the Rainbow" for my granddaughter who is currently obsessed with rainbows :) The music box is thick and sturdy yet also crystal-clear so you have a wonderful view of the music mechanism at work inside which I know she will find interesting. The music box winds easily (twist key under the base) and produces lovely tones (all on key as they should be). This music box also comes with a little gift card that matches cute box it is packaged in--and a little sheet with some stick-on adhesive rhinestone gems (8 hearts in various colors and about a dozen little dots in multiple colors) that can be used to decorate the otherwise clear music box. Very happy with this music box and highly recommend.

This is a delightful music box for the people who love gears and want to see how the music box works, aka, myself! I was absolutely the kid who took the old music boxes that stopped working to take them apart to figure out how the mechanisms worked. The reason you don't do this?? It requires a clock technician or someone trained in putting these together to get all the pieces to work right again. This lets me get my curiosity out and still enjoy the music.

THE GOOD:----------------* There are many wooden tiny music boxes, so the see thru acrylic makes this one unique.* I've always felt that music boxes are mechanical marvels.* Workmanship and quality is excellent for the price.* Nice retail packaging, so it's very giftable.* Bonus stickers too.THE BAD:-------------* Sounds a little off. But I don't have another tiny box with the same "wonderful life" song to compare to. So I don't know what's possible or impossible to achieve. You can definitely make out the tune, but it's just one verse over and over. Regardless, it's very cute and we still rate this 5-Stars.
