I have some of these that are velcro fastening. I much prefer this type. They're easy to put on and even include heal supports if needed. I like these a lot. Sadly there's no instructions for washing :(

I'm not too impressed with the back heel protectors as after am hour or so of wearing them in shoes, they themselves rub and become very uncomfortable!The whole point was to prevent shoes rubbing, so it isn't much use of the protectors do the same thing!!The skin colored sleeves I haven't tried yet, I'm a bit put off by them to be honest, as they look like something a granny would use, not flattering at all, so I wouldn't be able to wear them with shoes where they'd be on show (so a little pointless). They'd have been better being black, as it would then blend in with shoes you wear!It's quite difficult finding something that actually works in the way of protecting heels being rubbed, as the gel things you can buy, slip around as well

For effective plantar fasciitis cushioning, you need to position the gel pad on the heel, with the ankle sleeve over the top. The cushion pad is made of stocking material with the pad glued on - after a week of use it it becoming detached.Support & cushioning is reasonable but won't last long. I suppose given the price that's to be expected.
