It’s def not made for large dogs. This lasted about 8 months with 2 Great Danes. I started noticing a tear and not too long after they ripped it to pieces. I have a K9 ballistic brand that that has lasted about 2 years but I was trying to save money by buying this one and unfortunately I learned my lesson the hard way. Probably good for small dogs that will not do a lot of damage. What made it worse is that it’s filled with a million tiny pieces of bedding which feels like a bean bag instead of one piece of memory foam. I’m just lucky neither dogs ended up at the vet.

I have 2 big dogs (pitty mixes, one 55 lbs, one 85 lbs), and these are their favorite beds. The cheap beds you can buy at pet shops just never lasted more than a few weeks with these two, so I was looking for something that could hold up longer so that I wasn't spending so much all the time replacing dog beds. And this bed was definitely the winner! I've bought the 5 diamond brand bed before, and the shredded foam in that one is shredded so finely that the bed was so dense and uncomfortable for them - they hated it. But this one has just been perfect - it seems a bit expensive, but this bed has lasted 2 years before I finally decided it was time to replace it. The only thing that gave us problems was that one of my dogs liked to play with it - he chewed and wrestled and humped it so much, that he would occasionally poke/tear holes in the inner cover and the foam would start coming out. But the foam pieces were big enough so that it wasn't too much trouble to clean up, and then we would just put duct tape over the holes and it was fine. I think this is the second time I've purchased these beds in about 6 years, and I've never found anything else that is as comfortable for the dogs and last so long.

Our 6 month puppy ripped a giant hole in it opposite side of the zipper within an hour of being left alone. If you are looking for a chew proof bed. This is not it. We have stitched it up since then and now she sleeps on it at night, but is never left alone with it. Other than that she seems to like the bed.Edit: Seller contacted me about this review and offered a refund or replacement. I appreciate that. As I mentioned before we were able to stitch it up and now she sleeps on it every night. She really likes the bed overall, but we don't trust her to be alone with it. Again if you are looking for chew proof, this isn't it, but I'm not sure what is with our puppy.

The bed was way too fat and my medium size dog created a hole immediately on lying down on it. Then she spent part of the night scratching to try to rearrange the stuffing. I removed stuffing (a very messy job) as suggested then put it back in and removed it again. The second time, removed almost half the stuffing and she is liking it better. When I contacted the company, they were not very helpful.On the positive side, it is very well made and the cover is easy to clean.

This dog bed is well made, much more so than others we have bought over the last 20 years. The cover IS sturdy, but I am convinced that a real chew-proof dog bed cover does not exist. If your dig chess through this, you have a dog issue, not a dog bed issue. That said, it is over-stuffed and mounded in the center, so that even a 60 pound dog would roll off if it. But it was a good price, and is so well made, that we are going to do what another customer did and empty out half of the polyfil to flatten it somewhat. The polyfil is cooler, and very soft. I think they will like it when it has been altered. Wish the company had sewn in baffles, like a quilt, to keep the polyfil more uniform.

This is the second bed of this style I have purchased in the last 5 years. The other one is such a hit with my dogs I had to purchase a new one so they would stop growling at each other for who gets to use it the most! The jean cover is great and super heavy duty and the interior cover is waterproof which is almost always necessary when owning two labradors. My dogs can't get enough of this bed and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in search of a nice, good quality and overall comfy bed for their dogs! *For reference my dog/s are 90lbs and 65lbs...they fit perfectly on this size bed (individually) with plenty of room to sprawl out*

When it first arrived, I was skeptical because I did not think it was going to expand to the size I saw online. However, after I read and followed the instructions, worked on breaking apart the stuffing, it slowly grew and it is huge! We ordered the XL size, and when our child grows too tall for it to be in his crate, he will use it in the living room, and we will opt for a padded crate insert instead. We are very pleased with the quality, size, and comfort! And yes, per the instructions, we tried it before we let him use it. Ha! Highly recommended!

Ordered this bed for a new pup we got from the local pound, a Plott Hound. This pup is expected to be huge! We needed a bed that would be large enough as he grew and durable. My son, who has two Pitts, recommended this one. So I ordered what I hoped would be large enough. This one has turned out to be absolutely wonderful. The cover is durable and comes off for washing! Barry can't seem to harm it. And it is even larger than I thought it would be. He seems to love it. I would recommend it to anyone with a huge dog. I'm sure it's equally enjoyable for a small dog. :o)
