Parker Vector Stainless Steel Medium Nib Fountain Pen

Admittedly this review is not covering the supplied nib, as I use one from the Parker Deluxe Calligraphy Set with instructional CD-Rom.The pen itself is really nicely made, feels sturdy and not too heavy.I use this all the time for college and find it easy to write quickly without any stress or strain on the hand.Overall I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in owning a really nice fountain pen.My only nag is the fact there is no little pen sleeve/case as with some of the slightly more expensive Parker pens.

This is a pen i'd recommend, fabulous to write with, smooth flow without any overflow of ink as with some pens, therefore no blotting, smudging. I can't express enough how much I enjoy writing with this pen.

Lovely sleek design, but...I purchased this fountain pen for work, and while I appreciate its elegant design, I’ve encountered some frustrating issues. Unfortunately, the pen constantly leaks, and the nib tends to dry out if it’s not used for a few days. As a result, I find myself needing to clean the ink from the pen cap every few days, which is quite inconvenient.

I bought this pen to replace the plastic barrelled version which had split. As this is made of stainless steel I don't believe this one will do the same.Feels balanced in the hand and writes smoothly.Gets many admirers and comments like "You still use a fountain pen?"Lovely pen and looks good too!Highly recommended.

Although more expensive than the plastic versions this stainless steel option is more robust and less prone to cracking.

Maybe I just got a "Friday" pen, but trying to write with this is not doing my blood pressure any good at all.At first the ink flows and the pen writes well, but after about a sentence the ink starts to fade until it stops flowing completely. I then have to shake the pen vigorously to get ink to the nib before going through the whole process again. I want to enjoy writing with this pen but just can't.I've been doing some research and apparently this is a common problem with new Parker pens, The Fountain Pen Network has a few comments about it on their forum, and seems to be as a result of poor quality control.Update: After using the pen for a while it has started to work more consistently. Perhaps it just needed some ink to flow for a while to flush it out.

classic design, fluid writing instrument, highly durable. Recipient managed to break it only by putting it in a jeans pocket and sitting on it.... buns of steel.......
