I have to review the things I order. It's not a case of 'should I?' or 'will I?'. So sometimes after ordering but before the product actually arrives I think ahead to what I might write in a review. Honestly in this case I was thinking that it's just a bog-standard USB cable and how much could I possibly write about it?! Turns out I was wrong...Immediately upon arrival I was impressed with this USB cable from SPARKED. It arrived in a thick paper envelope. No plastic. Inside the cable itself then had a small cardboard sleeve on it to keep it in a small loop shape. Again, no plastic! Once I had cleared the packaging away I could feel the quality of the plastic used on the cable. It's tough to put into words because all plastic is smooth but sometimes some high quality plastic has a softness to it also, do you know what I mean? Anyway, you'll know it when you feel it!In terms of function it works as expected which is all you can ask for really with a techie product. I still have several Micro USB devices and I connected a few of them to this and the USB end to my laptop and everything powered up/charged and was recognised on my laptop. Speeds were fine. I'm not an expert in this area, I know some people take these things REALLY seriously, but the speed just seemed normal to me, neither noticabely fast nor slow.Overall I'm happy and impressed. On the one hand yes it's "just a USB cable" but on the other the performance is good and the presentation was thoughtful and excellent, so I am a happy camper and happy to give a five star review.

Good micro usb cable
These days, I find micro-usb to be one of the lesser used charging leads and I am liking the multi leads that allow charging across the 3 common types (lightning, usb-c and micro) however, if you just need a good value replacement lead for a device that still takes micro-usb, then this lead works perfectly well.
