Looks great and sturdy but.....
I so badly wanted to give this product 5 stars, it's very sturdy and it looks GREAT....well once you get them on. This is job that should only take 20-30 minutes, tops. One side went on like a perfectly fitting glove, absolutely no issues; on in about 5 minutes. Now we get to the other side. We barely hand tightened the nut on the bottom for the bottom piece; this is where everything went wrong. This thing was stuck, it wasn't moving. We couldn't get this thing to come off or continue to try and finish putting it on. First, let me mention that they sent two different size nuts...metric and standard, and to add insult to injury two different bolt patterns. This is what really pissed off the former Marine that was assisting in this project, because he thinks a woman needs supervision with tools. Back to this nut being stuck...I don't have another word for it other than it's stuck. We have used every bit of manpower and tools we have to just try and get it off without ruining it or breaking it. Remember the Marine that was giving supervision, by this point he is boiling at this point and has called in back up (unfortunately for me, another Marine...you see where this might go?). We've got very few options at this point. We are standing outside in pre-summer weather in the humidity that is Arkansas and mosquitoes the size of buzzards are having their fill. After two and half hours, a sawzall, and vice grips this thing is finally off. The bottom part of the latch looks as though it has been through a war, and it's now latched shut with some zip ties waiting the arrival of the replacement parts. Until then, I've had to keep these two away from my Jeep with anything that might be flammable, because they want to set it on fire. :) Once I have replacement parts, I will hopefully be able to add a star or two.Edit :: Sorry I forgot to do this much sooner. Amazon was excellent about sending a complete replacement, and quickly. I think we may have gotten a bad batch the first time, because the replacements were on in about 30 minutes, and installed by the same Marine (who thank GOD didn't catch it on fire). They just look bad ass! They're so much better than the original crap that comes on them.

Great fit
I have a 2006 LJR. It fits perfectly. Really secures the hood down and eliminates the vibration and the feeling the hood is going to fly open with the original hood latch. These are heavy duty and look great. A bit on the expensive side but we’ll worth the money.

No hood flutter!
I got these before going on a cross country road trip after remembering the last cross country trip (or any driving I did) and how the hood flutter bothered me. Not with these! The flutter is gone.I didn't install them myself because I wasn't able to get the bolt off that attached them to the fender the last time i replaced my hood latches. I had to get my mechanic to do it for me, so i just had them install it this time so I didn't have to bother. I'm sure if you have the right tools it's an easy install.

When the hood latches it seems like a weaker latching and I can't seem to tighten ...
This review is from an non-stock fender install. I have MetalCloak arched fenders on my TJ. The tube portion of the fend intrudes on a corner of this item at the point of installation. This causes the piece that attaches to the fender to want to be slightly askew.I didn't mark this item down a whole star because of that alone. When the hood latches it seems like a weaker latching and I can't seem to tighten it. It appears that I could loosen it by unscrewing the adjustment screw, it just seems I can't get it any tighter/shorter. This may also be because of the aftermarket/cross brand fender.I am happy with the product. I'll try to increase the ranking if things change.

Should have gotten this in the first place.
I should have bought this product to begin with. It looks way nicer and i doubt you will ever have to replace any part as long as you own your Jeep. The factory rubber piece broke off when i was driving and the upper part of the hood latch fell off so i had to order that and a Daystar rubber set. The replacement upper latch were $10 ( It broke when i was latching the hood after install and it was obvious how cheap it is when i received it) and the Daystar was $25 so those are now wasted purchases that i would never use since i have the stainless now.If you have the spare $$ i suggest you getting these and never have to worry about ever replacing the latches ever.It is really easy to install and are adjustable so you can prevent hood shake when a semi drives by you.

be careful if you don't have stock front fenders
I bought these to replace the stock hood latches on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. they are high quality, and I think part of the reason I ended up removing them and trashed them was because I had my stock front fenders replaced with some Smittybilt front flat tube fenders, so the fit wasn't perfect, and I was afraid they wouldn't stay in the locked position. however, this is not the products fault, and I have a friend that has these on his jeep with the stock fenders and they work and look great. oh well, next time I'll have to do a little more research first.

Look Better Than Faded Plastic and No More Hood Flap
The hardest thing about installing these is getting the old plastic latches off. I wound up taking an angle grinder to the old ones because there was no way to keep the head from spinning while taking the nut off the bottom, once the plastic melted I pulled that out and could get a pair of pliers on the smooth head. These do have plastic on them which does worry me, but assuming they are replaceable and that people pay attention when they close the latches it should be fine. They also get rid of the hood flap that has been present since I bought the jeep.

No more jumping hood
It's been a long time since my hood didn't bounce around when in a crosswind let alone on 4x4 roads. Locked down now! More expensive but worth the price.

Mainly because the product was great - I just ordered it for the wrong model ...
I have to rate this as a 5, even though I returned it. Mainly because the product was great - I just ordered it for the wrong model year by mistake. I later ordered the correct item and am very happy with it. No more bouncing bonnet and fairly easy to install. Just have to learn to bend your fingers in new ways for the lower latch nut! ALSO, the return process was completely painless. Even though it was my error, Amazon paid the postage and refunded the full purchase price. Very pleased with the customer service!

Broke :(
Was so excited to finally buy these for my jeep but not even a week later after installing them they broke. I have tried to contact the seller and Amazon to help me deal with the issue but due to Covid. Nothing really became of it.

Amazing
Incredible! I've tried other ones.. locks fail after a few years or the rubber stretches and breaks... all have been garbage. But not these ones. Quality is top notch, even stainless screws. Pulls the hood right down, no flutter at all even when transports go by. Uses factory holes, bolts right into place. I did add washers though. Can't say enough positive about them.

Fits 2006 jeep tj
Came nicely packaged with instructions. The install was a fifteen minute install. Would recommend for all jeeps as the hood flutter is totally gone now.

Powder coating issue
Started flaking (powder coating) after one year. Does exactly what intended to do but finish is awful.
