IELTS - the Complete Guide to Academic Reading

Answers out of order
This is in reply to the review stating that you have to go back to the beginning of the text to find an answer. You must remember that for every new question type there is a very good chance that you will go back to the beginning or at least find answers above some of the previous answers from other question types. For the example given from the practice tests at the back of the book.- Questions 18 and 22 - the answers are in the same paragraph so you do not need to go back to the beginning of the text. This book offers a realistic look at the IELTS reading test and tells the students which of the 12 or more question types, likely to be in the test, will have answers in order.

This book only contributes to the feeling of confusion and doubt when it comes to my reading skills. Answers to the practice tests cannot be found in order. For example, the answer to question 22 comes before the answer to the question 19. You have to come back to the beginning of the text. And I'm not saying about heading matching etc. I feel sorry for finding the poor quality of this book as I spent several hours working through the guide for writing task 1 from the same author. These problems need to be sorted out in the next edition of the book, as it's not appropriate to have like it is now: chaotic. Perhaps it was written in a hasty manner?
