Easy to assemble, comes with tools so need to search for your own. Warm inside the kennel with an easy to open roof to add bedding in etc.... brilliant buy. Would definitely recommend.

I got this one for our pup so that he has a rest space outside for when I am at work. He's able to use the cat-flap and sleep in the kitchen but it felt nice to have a little den in the yard for him.This comes flat packed with pretty clear instructions. I am not good at all on DIY stuff and yet built this pretty quickly. A few holes that were meant to be pre-drilled had not been so that took a little longer but it was no biggie.Once built it comes with a roof that can be easily opened and left open whilst cleaning etc if desired and a clear plastic entrance space to help keep it nice and dry.My dog has been crate trained so we should be able to get him using it fairly quickly, though thus far he just pops in to get a treat and runs off again. Hopefully before long it will be a nice safe space for him.

We got this for our Cavapoo to sleep in at night. He is 8 months old - and on the larger size for Cavapoos - and this crate is the perfect size for him. He can stand up and turn around. We have a sheepskin rug in, and it looks really cozy. He went in to his new crate on the first night with no hesitation, as he is used to being crated at night. The construction is sturdy and looks great under the stairs. I don't like the look of traditional 'cage' style crates. Also, I think this will be warmer for him in the cold months as we live in a drafty old house. It fits perfectly under our narrow cottage stairs. I saw some negative reviews about wet glue or poor construction, but this was excellently supplied, I couldn't find any fault at all - and I am picky. I think it took my husband about 20 minutes to make it up. The wood is light weight pine (i think) with a soft grey matte paint. I highly recommend this item - and I think the price is great - much cheaper than similar items on the market. The lid does not lift off, it is secured to the sides, which is just as well as any small dog could push it up with their head as the wood is not heavy. Just one more thing - if you intend to crate you pet for long hours during the day when you are at work etc (which is sad anyway) I don't think this is the one for you as it's quite dark inside, with only the door for a source of light. But perfect for sleeping overnight and napping in - keeps our pup out of trouble, safe and happy while we are sleeping. EDIT: We have found that the door needs extra securing as our dog can rattle it open (which he could not do with his previous crate.) A metal clamp or clip will prevent him opening it, but worth mentioning. Still very happy overall with the product.

The predrilled holes are in the wrong place so the roof doesn’t close. Communication with the seller is difficult. It looks lovely and very sturdy and I like it but I can’t use it until the issue with the roof is sorted.

Came a whole month early. Hi it it all out ready to put together and it was so easy everything was mark with big letters drilled holes and it even came with a screwdriver would definitely recommend.

Looks great and has plenty of room for my small chihuahua.

This is not insulated, is 10mm thick soft wood.... Terrible deceptive description.
