Ecclesiastes: Finding Meaning When Life Feels Meaningless (Flourish Bible Study)

Exceptional "TEN STARS" Guide -- Highly recommend to anyone trying to make sense of life
I'm extremely impressed by the structure of this Ecclesiastes Study Guide. Lydia Brownback provides excellent and concise historical information of the author, presumably Solomon. There's also some helpful suggestions on how to conduct a study -- whether as an individual or in a small group. As a bonus, the author directs you to a free leader's guide if you are planning to use her book in a group study. (Definitely check out the free leader's guide as it provides answers for the many questions that appear in the study guide. This is a MUST -- even if you are only reading the book by yourself!) That being said, each chapter is well-organized and consists of sections that find one navigating through the Bible, stringing pearls of Scripture to better comprehend Ecclesiastes. This study guide could not have debuted at a better time. With so many people feeling they are struggling in a fallen world, not happy with world leaders, stymied by challenges or corruption -- this study helps one understand the larger picture -- one that is not meaningless. The first chapter alone provides six sections that are filled with questions guaranteed to lead towards reflection, inspiration and life application. (Again, consult the free leader's guide for wonderful insight on the questions that appear in this guide.) The grand finale in each chapter is a "Let's Talk" question that is designed to make one marinate in the Scripture and will definitely induce a roundtable discussion in any small group. Well-written, thoughtful, and sound teaching -- And I've only read the first three chapters so far. This study guide is designed to span a 10-week program. But, if you have a group that enjoys round-table discussions, this could easily turn into a longer journey. This book is designed to help anyone who has ever asked: what is the purpose of life anyway? I highly recommend it for anyone trying to make sense of life. If I could, I would give 10 stars for this study guide. I've included a photo of the Table of Contents but, honestly, it does not do justice the content of each chapter.

Excellent personal or group study
Lydia Brownback’s Flourish studies are excellent for personal or a group study. You look up scripture and the commentary and study questions help the reader to better understand God’s Word. I’ve used several of her studies as I’ve facilitated or participated in group studies. I’ve also used her study guides for my own personal study.
