They taste great and aren't too unhealthy.
I feel like I ended up getting a larger quantity than I expected. Picture a bag of granola you might see on the same aisle as cereal at your local supermarket. A bag of this item is very similar in size to that. Each bag lists 1/2 cup serving sizes that are listed at 200 calories per serving. There are 6 servings in each bag at this serving size. You can imagine how happy I was when I realized I received 48 servings of granola. I guess I assumed each bag was going to be more like a single serving portion but that's the case. Anyways the bag gives a brief statement from the makers which explain themselves as a family business so that's nice. As for nutritional info.. the actual contents of what makes up the calories is actually pretty ideal in terms of being healthy. It has decent protein and low sugar, however fat content is kinda high. That wouldn't be a big deal had the fat been the healthy kinds, but unfortunately out of 17g of fat, 7g of it is saturated fat (not the kind you want to see in something if health is the main concern). I assume the reason for the fat is the chocolate chips in it. Anyways since there are 0g trans fats, I'm assuming the remaining 10g are indeed healthy mono or poly unsaturated fats which are ideal and considered good fats that can lower bad (ldl) cholesterol levels. Aside from the saturated fats, this is a pretty healthy snack and it tastes great. I ate nearly an entire bag when I opened it and saw how many I had. Anyways I'll mention that of 13g carbs.. 6g are fiber and 3g are sugar.. 2g of which are listed as added sugars to combine to the 3g. There is also 4% daily calcium value, 10% daily iron, and 4% daily potassium. Honorable mention to the relatively low daily amount of sodium as well which is also at 4%. To wrap it up, this isn't a bad deal for good quality tasty granola that's surprisingly healthy for tasting as good as it does. I would assume the 7g of saturated fats are where they sacrificed the little they did to provide the taste. One thing I've learned with nutritional info and food over 15yrs of bodybuilding in the past is that it's very hard to come across anything that tastes very good if nothing but healthy info is listed on the label, and typically the maker of a product will either have to sacrifice ideal levels of fat, sugar, or sometimes both (meaning they need to include higher levels of one or both) in order to create a good taste. If they stick solely to healthy nutrition, most the time the product will not taste as good as it would have if some "cheat" ingredients were included. Believe me, I've spent ages in my past eating nothing but chalky bland food to obtain and maintain single digit levels of bodyfat percentage and it can be awful. This is a decently made product and I would have totally liked it during those times when I had cheat days.. I'd probably have eaten it in moderation even when it wasn't a cheat day though bc the nutritional values are not that bad at all compared to other similar products. I absolutely recommend trying this and its nice to support the family run smaller companies.

Got me eating yogurt again!
At one point I was really good about eating a healthy breakfast. Then life happened, stress levels rose, time didn't allow me to plan accordingly and I slipped.Well, thanks to this granola, I'm back to eating yogurt again and I feel good about that.I know yogurt is good for you, good for your gut and my gut can use it.. but I just can't eat it plain. It's a texture thing (I also don't enjoy pudding or cottage cheese for this reason) so I was spending extra money on those yogurts with the "sections" full of stuff that you "flip" into the container to add some crunch to it. Now that the price of those has doubled I couldn't justify eating that much sugar for breakfast so I stopped buying them. After ordering this granola I was excited to try it out in some greek yogurt since it didn't have all the added sugar found in those "flippy" yogurts. And I'm glad I did. I bought the black cherry flavor of "The Greek Gods" yogurt which advertises less "tang" to it. Well yesterday I mixed some of this granola in with a serving of that yogurt and it was one of the best breakfast foods I'd had in a while! The granola adds a nice little crunch without a bunch of sugar and nothing artificial so I felt good about my "sweet" breakfast.Granted the price is a bit high for seeds but if you compare it to regular granola and factor in the gluten free and low sugar nature it's priced in line with other products in those markets. I suppose if you're used to paying more to meet your dietary needs this won't be a shock, but if you are ok with grains and sugar, this will seem expensive to you. Your mileage may vary.

Great for Yogurt
This is awesome to use for yogurt or I suppose you could even use it like (or add it to) cereal with milk. It is tasty and relatively healthy. It isn’t cheap, but it does appear to be good quality with good taste.Overall 4.5/5
