It’s a grower.
Lots of people on here have slated this album. Coldplay are a marmite band, you either love them or hate them. I love them and always have. This is a great album. Have played several times each time as you get to know the tracks it gets better and better. Some tracks are real concert pleasers. I can imagine the crowd singing along to “feels like I’m falling in love” If a lover of Coldplay it’s a must for your collection. Looking forward to Wembley 2025 already

Sound of Summer in autumn release
Was really looking forward to this release after watching Coldplay gig (on the BBC) at Glastonbury. I really like it on first play. Coldplay atmospherics all over as is their trademark these days, but the tracks are also infused with summery sounds, laced with acoustic guitar, synth, funky bass riffs and soulful singing. I can see a lot of disappointment reflected in the first couple of reviews, but I like this album. Do I love it? Time will tell. But if you are a Coldplay fan, which I am, you won't be able to resist it in the long run. So why wait?

Apparently Coldplay are only going to make 12 studio albums in total... But if I was them I'd knock it on the head now... The last album was awful yet somehow they've managed to make this one worse... The gimmicky moon goggles had me a little concerned... Where are the moon ear plugs?

Creative
I love this album, yes it's slightly different from early Coldplay, but is that now how creative music evolves. The whole ethos of the album is well executed with some wonderful production. Good on Coldplay, yes we like the anthems, but this album is very reflective, different and contemporary.

Disappearing into a black hole here
Coldplay are on an absolutely rapid decline here, i say Coldplay - i’m not actually sure what Johnny, Will & Guy are even doing anymore as at this point its just turning into the psychedelic, spacey Chris Martin show.I’m genuinely not sure what his fascination with space and aliens is all about. Ok so we’ve already had one album of that theme - we definitely didn’t need a second one.Almost every track is a transcendent bit of music then the piano slowly fades in and then comes a bit of happy, jolly lyrics about how wonderful the world and the solar system is.Rinse and repeat over 10 mostly forgettable tracks, We Pray is a bit different and for that reason alone its the only stand out track and when i say stand out i mean because it doesn’t fit the structure of the album not because it’s overly good.Coloratura from Music of the Spheres received plenty of praise so Chris Martin has tried to recreate that again.Where are the drums? The bass lines?Feelslikeimfallinginlove is just so sickly sweet is actually nauseatingThis latest offering is by far the worst album from Coldplay unfortunately. If i had to rate their albums in order it would be quite tough, but there would be no doubt what the bottom two would be;Music Of The SpheresMoon Music

Don't listen to the haters.
I love this album, in fact there isn't a Coldplay song in the entire Universe that I don't love. Yes this album isn't like their old stuff but surely it would be boring if it was all the same! Roll on next August at Wembley!

Surprisingly good
I didn't think much of their last two albums but this is not at all bad. I am from the older generation who likes melody in music. Coldplay are good at this. Most tracks really great. Give it a chance. What clinched it for me was that while the MP3 version was £8.69 the extended version with 10 extra tracks was just 30p more at £8.99. Plenty of enjoyment for very little money. A no brainer.

We pray all is love
We pray is the best song of the album. There is an extended version of this album on listening platforms. Collaborations with many artists and with ordinary folks. I very much enjoyed listening to it!

Calming, beautiful, coherent.
Start to finish, a beautifully written, performed, recorded and produced album. There are no lows. Like reading Samuel Delaney's book Dhalgren, you could put this cd on "repeat" and listen to it over and over, as I'm doing tonight. (Hmm, where's my copy of Dhalgren...) There's no starting point, no ending point, just an endless, pleasant flow... This matches the best conceptual albums of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Jean-Michelle Jarre... Best album of 2024. Why not release an Atmos version???

Empalagoso y mediocre
