Our story starts with a hot chocolate revolution. As mothers and chocoholics, we despaired over the sickly 'chocolate' drinks thickened with starch, topped with spray-on cream and scattered with cheap marshmallows. We began to work in our country kitchen, experimenting with just how to make great hot chocolate. It's so simple, as all good things are. The very best quality chocolate served in a hearty chunk on a wooden spoon, to stir at leisure into hot milk. Our kids and friends gave the Stirring Spoons a resounding thumbs up. Brimming with excitement at the prospect of our launch, we booked a Christmas market to offer our yummy product - but were snowed in at home! Undaunted, we served hundreds of our hot chocolate to the kids of all ages on their sleighs on our village street - and sold out. On that snowy winter's day we had created chocolate magic from which we would go on to build a business. And still today, nobody can beat Rowdy & Fancy's generous portions of top quality chocolate for the unbeatable drink that dreams are made of. But the hot chocolate revolution wasn't enough for our customers. Our food-loving customers wanted to extend this chocolate heaven to lavish bars, with the same natural ingredients, and wrapped in sustainable packaging - everything mass-market confectionary wasn't. As our chocolate is a taste of paradise, we asked a friend and local artist, Dean Rush, to paint our iconic picture for the logo - the original hangs on our workshop wall to this day. Who knows, if Eve had had this chocolate to hand, she might have resisted the apple! We learned on the job that creating perfect chocolate is a wonderful challenge - and it's addictive.
