Stainless Steel Duplex 2-Post Wire Rope Clip Cable Clamp - 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 or 5/16-Inch - Type 316 SS

I purchased clips for 1/8" wire rope. I purchased 1/8" 7x19 stainless steel wire rope to use with them. The manufacturer says 7x19 is best and to NOT use 1x19 or 7x7 wire for sizes over 1/8". I found that is was extremely difficult to fit the 1/8" wire into the clip. I was able to do it, using a pair of pliers and a screw drier to force the strands to seat properly, but it definitely is not supposed to be this hard. Since 1/8" is the smallest size they make and I confirmed the wire rope at 1/8", I know that there was not a size mismatch.I was able to get it to work and it looks and works great I wonder if the larger sizes are easier to work with?More info is available at the manufacturers web site at http://www.tecni-cable.co.uk/Products/Wire-Clamp-Rope-Grips-Cable-Clips-Clamps

I used some of these with  1/8" Black Dacron Rope  to suspend a 14AWG 53 foot long antenna over my roof.These fasteners are very convenient, and grip the fairly slippery dacron very well. I certainly trust them more than my skill to make a knot that would hold! Also, if I ever need to undo it to tighten the rope or take it down, I can do so easily without having to cut the rope. I would expect to be able to reuse this clip again and again.The only thing I can suggest is order several, because the nuts in this are TINY and very easy to drop. And if you drop one in the grass or off of a roof, you are probably not going to find it.

Like better then the u-bolt type of wire clips.

Used with 1/8" SS cable. It was very difficult to get the wires inside the fitting to tighten down.
