As a vinyl collector I know how sought after (and expensive) this album is. An original Sonet vinyl copy will set you back around £150! Although I'm not a fan of the CD format it's certainly better than MP3s so I decided to purchase this. I'm assuming this has been remastered, sounding very good indeed and the cover art is a faithful reproduction of the original vinyl release. So to the music. This is top drawer melodic heavy metal done to near perfection with more than a nod in Ritchie Blackmore's direction. At times you'd swear Ritchie was playing some of the solos on this album. Vocals are very good if nothing particularly different and at times there's a Dio sound to both music style and vocal. The good tracks on this album are really good, the not so good tracks very generic but still very enjoyable. Looking For An Answer for example has a riff of total perfection and the drum sound on this CD is astonishingly good. If you are a fan of Blackmore/Malmsteen's work then I guarantee you're gonna love and enjoy these guys.
