Ambush at Sorato: Ranger's Apprentice: The Royal Ranger, Book 7

Another satisfying read by Mr. Flanagan
We have all the Ranger’s Apprentice and Royal Ranger books, so of course we had to add this one to the collection when it came out. All the readers in our house (aged 14, 18, and 48) devoured and enjoyed it. Thankful it is a stand-alone story - no cliffhanger!

Enjoyable
Love the book. The whole series of books are worth collecting. There are 3 series to collect.

still going strong
I have read every book in this series and the previous main series to date. Each book continues to be intriguing and with enough variety to keep me interested. Great book! Cannot wait for the next one.

If you're a fan, let's be honest, this is not his best work
I'll preface this review by saying that I have loved all the series so far. Ranger's Apprentice, Royal Ranger, and Brotherband. I have read and reread all of them countless times and have enjoyed them every time.Unfortunately, the magic that existed previously is slowly becoming less common in the later books. When we get to this final one, I was excited by seeing characters from the past brought up but my challenge with this book is that is it told in a way that seemed like the best case scenario in which everything could go right, did. Even when there was a set back in the middle, the characters got out of it pretty much the next chapter in as easy a fashion as possible.I will always love this series and will continue to devour any book written but the rereads will become less often. However, for the target audience, which is young adult, these may continue to hold the same magic.Worthy of a read, not sure about a reread.
