The media could not be loaded. My daughter got this to make a treat box for the mailbox, so people walking dogs can take one. It’s the perfect size to fit in the little open square area beneath the mailbox that is probably for newspapers. There is no assembly. It comes ready to paint! Great value for the money. The clasp is solid and hinges as well! Great quality! The clasp really snaps into place which some may not like, I do because I know it won’t get knocked open if it falls.

Pay attention to the dimensions. It’s much smaller than it seens in the pictures.

I don't know how I received them in good condition. They were packaged poorly and had hardly any cushioning (one sheet of brown paper under them)and in a box way to big for them. They are the perfect size that I needed to put small spice packets in for Christmas presents that I am making for my daughters and granddaughters. I will stain them to match the recipe boxes that I am making to go with them.

Honestly, I ordered this thinking I could put index cards in it. It’s too small, and looking at the dimensions again, I should have realized as much before ordering it. Still, it’s a very cute chest, and I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.The construction is solid. They did an excellent job sanding it out to avoid any burs or splinters remaining in the unfinished wood. The hinges and clasps are excellent, and they can be easily removed via phillips screwdriver for a finishing coat/paint before putting them back on. The top opens/closes easily, and the clasp holds shut securely.This is an excellent unfinished wood treasure chest for small items.
