Perfect Cookies Every Time
I make cookies regularly, but I have a horrible eye for estimating how much cookie dough is needed per cookie. Using this scoop, I can just pack it full and squeeze the release trigger for cookies of basically the same size. This cookie scoop makes perfect, consistently sized cookies. My cookies have been baking much more evenly since I got this, which is great! What's more, the scoop is made of solid material, including a strong spring, so I'm not too worried about it breaking. The product also came with a "Hot Gripper" as they call it. It's just a handle that can be used to grab the edges of pans or various other hot cookware. It works well enough and is a great value add for the price, but a bit unnecessary. I prefer to just use a pot holder normally. Overall, I highly recommend this scoop set for anyone who loves baking cookies!

Nice Size, Easy To Use, Nice "Bonus."
This is a nice scoop that holds about two tablespoons of whatever you're scooping. It's a nice size for a meatball, but a little small for ice cream unless you like more petite scoops of sweet treats. I hoped it would work well for cupcake batter, but a standard cupcake is about three tablespoons, so I would have to do about a scoop and a half so I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. These have a smooth release mechanism when you squeeze the handle and the silicone on the handle makes it comfortable to use and easy to keep a grip on even when it's wet.I tested the scoop on ice cream right out of the freezer to see how sturdy it was and it survived, so that's a great start. Since hard ice cream is likely to be the toughest thing I'll ever use this scoop for, I know it's going to perform well. The only downside to the coating on the handle is that I won't be able to pop them into the oven to get them completely dry after washing like I would with my all-metal scoops. The "extra" tool in this kit is for gripping hot plates, but you could use it for anything you need to get a grip on like when you want to rotate a tray in the oven or pull out an oven rack where using a potholder can be a bit awkward. It's a useful thing to have around and I'll probably use it pretty regularly since I do a lot of baking. This is a nice little kit that comes in a box that says "Merry Christmas" on it, which made me laugh. If you're already Christmas shopping, then this one's for you! From cookies to meatballs to melon balls, this scoop will get it done.

Both the Scoop and the Grabber Work Great!
This two-tablespoon scoop is perfect for evenly portioning cookie dough or meatballs, scooping batter for mini-muffins, etc. The gear mechanism and spring make both scooping and releasing smooth and easy; the handle is comfortable to hold, and the unit cleans up nicely, too. My only complaint is that the size is not marked anywhere on the scoop. The bonus grabber tool is unexpectedly useful - it's the gadget I didn't know I needed for removing hot bowls and plates from the microwave or pans from the toaster oven. Even with heavy items, its silicone pads have a surprisingly tight and secure grip, and I'll be reaching for this little gem quite often.

Cookies or meatballs?
I saw the cookie scoop and my first thought was meatballs!!! This will help in making evenly portioned meatballs. The operation is just as you would expect. Squeeze the handle together and the contents of the scoop are released. What I particularly like is the grip of the handle. It's slightly rubberized so doesn't feel slippery. It's comfortable in my larger hand.Because of the direction that the release mechanism works, it probably works slightly better for a right-handed person than a left-handed person for scooping - although an alternative for lefties may be to squeeze the handle, then scoop. When the handle is released the same sweeping action will take place, but in the opposite direction. Definitely worth a try.And I'll definitely use the bonus pan grip. It will be perfect for removing the small tray from the toaster oven. I always fill The pan too full making it awkward to remove from the toaster oven with mitts or hot pad holders.

The product I didn’t know I needed.
I make all of our bread products, so I’m used to working with all kinds of doughs and batters. This scooper has made life so much easier. It’s great quality and it works well for a variety of batters and doughs. It even works well for chilled doughs. It has completely changed my muffin making game! I’m so happy with this product. The gripper also works well. So it’s a nice little gift!

Great cookie scoop!
I purchased this to help when making my cake pops and this worked perfectly. Made the perfect size cake pop every time. Made nicely! It also came with a hot plate gripper as a bonus. I forgot it was going to be added and it didn’t come with any info so I had to look back on my order to figure out what it was. But it actually works great!

Nice Scoop, Plate Gripper weird angle to hold
I needed a new cookie scoop and this is just the perfect size. I like a little bigger cookie, but not too big and this is that perfect middle size. It seems well made, the spring is nice and tight and the lever inside the scoop moves smoothly when you compress the handle. It's comfortable in your hand and is easy to squeeze. It also came with a separate handle to use for taking items out of the oven, etc. That I'm not as fond of. It seems made well and has silicon grips in the mouth of it for a good grip, but the mouth of it that you grip with is at a bad angle so when you grip most items it's just not comfortable or easy to hold and move the item. Good idea but bad execution, however since I bought it for the scoop this wasn't my main concern and I'm happy with the scoop.
