I ordered this remote as a replacement for my original one that recently broke. The installation instructions were straightforward, and the remote connected without any issues. However, it’s important to note that this remote doesn’t perform well with cheap batteries; I had to use high-quality batteries for optimal performance. After using this remote for about a week, it feels just like the original one and is a good replacement.

Our original remote resembles a childs rattle and has a back that needs tape to stay in place, so I ordered one of these to see if it was a worthy replacement.Adding it to the firestick I had no problems at all and once added all the features (shortcut buttons and voice) work fine. Great purchase to either replace an original or keep handy as a backup.

While this is a 3rd party remote it is not obvious to tell comparing to the legit remote. One clear difference is when held up to light the plastic casing has a blue tint to it. The other sign for me that it is not legit is when you open the battery compartment the 2 AAA batteries are separated where as on legit controllers they connect back to back.I was able to get this to pair with my 1st gen 4k Fire Stick. The instruction that come with the remote are not the best. I followed a guide online. I was able to do this but turning on the Fire Stick. Not using my old remote. Pressing and holding the home button for 10 seconds, the light at the top right corner starts flashing. The flashing stops when it has paired with the Fire Stick.Once connected it worked just as you would expect. It is just a shame that Amazon have stopped the ability to remap the shortcut buttons for apps you might frequently use.Longevity will alway be a question with a nonofficial controller but in the hand it feels identical to the official one. This one is of the cheaper ones from what I could find so recommend it not just for how it works but the value.

I got this item on the off-chance that it would work. When I read the advert, it mentioned it worked with many start tv sticks, but not clearly which makes it didn't work with.I could not get it to pair with my NowTv stick. I think I am following the instructions correctly, but the LED on the remote is flashing green rather than orange as the advert states.The remote itself is able to adjust the volume and turn the TV on and off. The buttons are well make, and otherwise it does feel sturdy.

Took me no more than 2 minutes to have this paired up as a second remote. We now have 2 remotes paired up on the same Firestick and the challenge is even more sweeter with my partner when she's watching something and I want to watch something else and she has no control over it, haha.Great build quality, to the level that you can't even tell it's not even the original. Shame it didn't come with batteries.

Flimsy garbage. Does not work. No proper contact points within battery compartments, just springs. No power to remote when batteries inserted, no light on remote LED, does not pair with fire stick.
