Ikebana Flower Vases (Medium, Long)

The more you look at this flower vase, the more elegant and sophisticated it becomes.

This vase is great for minimalistic interior design. The glass vase reminds me of an empty candle jar. Glass is crystal clear and heavy. Two metal plates are connected with a metal tube and 2 screws and the lower metal plate has 3 rubber feet to keep it a bit elevated from the bottom of the vase, but honestly it seems that that elevation needs to be higher because the flower stems seem to be slipping out. I may try to add thicker rubber feet to elevate the bottom plate higher, which would allow the flower stems to sit in nicely and stay in place. I do not like how large is the engraved brand and manufacturing country name on the metal plates, it really stands out too much. I like it, but honestly I am thinking about adding this metal plate to a different container instead of this glass jar.

This item is made in Korea not China. It is simply a clear circular glass vase with 2 stainless steel circular discs with small and medium sized holes in each disc, and a single stainless rod that attaches the discs to each other using 2 stainless screws---which you do attach yourself. This vase set comes in a pretty lavender and white box and is wrapped nicely so as not to incur any damage. The glass vase is wrapped in lavender tissue paper--pretty and makes a nice presentation for gifting. It is simple and elegant--just what ikebana is all about. For the price of nearly $70, it is kinda pricey for just regular glass (not crystal or special glass) and stainless—therefore 3 1/2 stars.

I love having fresh cut flowers around my house especially when we have guests coming. I am not that great at putting arrangements together so half of the time i just take a handful of flowers, put it in a vase and call it a day. This vase makes it so easy to display my flowers and it looks better than all of my other vases. I cut my flowers, placed them randomly through the metal holes and wouldn’t you know it looks like I bought this arrangement at a florist! I can’t wait to try all the different types of flowers that grow in my garden!

RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs Up – These are Korean and look great in a more modern décor.THE GOOD:1. The holes in the top and bottom disks allow you to place the flowers or plants at the desired angles for the arrangement. The holes are somewhat random and don’t line up between the top and bottom disks to allow for more free-form arrangements.2. The metal stand is high quality, polished stainless steel and looks very good.3. The outer glass is also high quality, thick and looks good.THE BAD:1. The only problem so far is that there were only 3 rubber feet put onto the bottom disk so that it does not rub on the glass directly. These are basically the same rubber bumpers that are installed on cabinet doors. There really needs to be 5 or 6 of these vs 3, as the current number makes the bottom unstable once you get heavier flowers/plants into it and it will tip to one side or the other. The good news is that this is relatively easy to solve by just adding more bumpers – buy the small clear ones that you would normally purchase for cabinet doors.

I ordered this flower vase set because it is designed in the elegant Ikebana style, which is a traditional Japanese art form of arranging flowers. The set was beautifully, well-packaged and seems very sturdy. The set consists of the Ikebana Top Plate, a Bottom Plate, a Support Rod, two bolts, and a durable and heavy transparent glass bowl. The support base is very solid stainless-steel, so it should be resistant to rust and corrosion, but still retain its silver luster. There are 10 large and small holes in each of the stainless-steel plates (plus one more for the support rod) to help keep the flowers secure. The holes are supposed to make it easier to arrange flowers. The silver color of the stainless-steel support plates should be almost invisible with arranged flowers, making them stand out. I haven’t had a chance to display with flowers but I plan to get some this weekend. It’s going to be a great centerpiece!

This is a very high-quality manufacturing. The glass bowl is made of clear, colorless glass, and has strong wall, sturdy base. The stand is made of high-quality steel, and needs to be assembled with just 2 screws. The manufacturer provides the required hardware in the box itself. Greatly useful for flower arrangements, though a single vase won't serve a purpose most of the times. You would need more, since it is not too big in size. Overall, a satisfactory product.
