Had issue, but I managed to fixed it
The fit and finish of this solder sucker looked amazingly good for the price, but I did have one major issue that I was able to fix. My units red plunger thumb depress was screwed on crooked and appeared to be mostly held on with loctite or super glue, I cannot be sure which. I managed to fix mine by chasing the threads with a tapping die and filing some material off the end of the plunger shaft where the depress button screws on. I am still giving 4 stars because other buyers photos do not show my issue and for the money you would still be getting a great deal assuming you had tools to repair this problem. Suction seems worlds better than my old plastic unit and the rubber tips plus supplied extra tubing is a great feature that works very well.

Pretty Good but Not Great
This unit is well built and does give good suction and doesn't clog. However, the release button is very difficult to push which invariably makes the tip wiggle off of the target. If I could have this same thing with a much easier release button, it would be perfect.

Made well
I really like this. It really has a strong vacuum on it. The one that came with one of my kits just never seem to be up for the job. This one has no problem whatsoever. If you think to yourself why would I need something like this look at it this way. There is an eraser on the top of your pencil to clean up mistakes there's a delete key on our phones and computers to help with mistakes. Now if you are on soldering something all you need is to use this and you can start over again.

Get the real deal
This is a direct copy of the Engineer SS-02.In short, get the real deal as it's totally worth the extra cost.Although this looks the same, the fit and finish is no comparison. The worst part is that this one has such weak suction power, I got a replacement thinking it was defective but the replacement was just weak so it's just a poorly copied design or the poor fit and finish that's causing the weak suction.Either case, I would recommend staying away from this one.

Excellent compact option!
I've used this solder sucker for months and it does not disappoint. One of the best features is the rubber tip which will often allow you to get incredible seal around the component to be extracted. This multiplies the sucking power and works incredibly well. I love the all aluminum housing and steel plunger. It does have quite a bit of recoil which can move it off of the part when releasing the plunger. I would certainly recommend this as a small portable option that punches above its weight class.

Worked okay but lacked the suction I wanted.
I needed this Dunkive Solder Sucker and Rosin Paste Kit Set No Clog Desoldering Pump Heavy Duty Desolder for a few projects and it worked well enough for those but was more difficult to use than I expected. It just didn't seem to have the suction power that I thought it would. The construction is nice and it appears well made so I am not sure what the problem is or if maybe my expectations were just too high.I also didn't like the release as it causes you to move a bit from your solder area. Not to mention that when you release it or have it suction the solder snaps back a bit from the spring action and can jostle you from the work area. Not a huge deal but something to note that you may get used to over time. Overall it was decent for the most part.

Excellent Solder Sucker
This solder sucker is compact but has respectable sucking power. The spring is also fairly easy to compress which helps limit fatigue in my hands. I liked that this solder sucker has all aluminum construction and is easy to disassemble for cleaning. I also really like the plastic sucking tip that is a piece of tubing that can be cut at an angle and should last a long time. I like this system better than the custom plastic tips I have had on other solder suckers. I have not used the soldering paste that came with this kit but it appears to be ok!

Great
It's a nice soft rosin, which is much better than the cheap hard flux I sometimes find in kits. The only issue I have is that it's not a no-clean flux. That means I have to be extra careful cleaning the board when I'm done. The solder sucker on the other hand is very well made. It's all metal, and creates a strong vacuum when actuated. I like that they included extra tubing for the event that I need to change it out.Overall I'm going to use the sucker, and I'm going to use a different flux.Highly recommended.
