I have been using so-called "non-slip" rug pads all my life to keep rugs in place. No longer! This stuff is awesome!The tape is double-sided, so all you have to do is peel one side of the adhesive paper off, which comes off easily, attach it to your rug or floor, and pull off the other side.These rugs don't move. In fact, after lining the complete border of one rug with the tape, I saw how effective it was going to be, and for the next rug, I just lined the corners. So far, it too has stayed in place.One of the rugs on which I used this tape is an entryway mat, and it's very high traffic in my house, and it hasn't moved.The tape is far superior to non-slip mats, which in my experience, eventually bunch up under rugs and don't really keep them in place.Five stars because 1) the roll was bigger than I expected it to be, so I was pleasantly surprised, and 2) I was surprised by how well it works. Big fan!

This tape does exactly what it's supposed to do, with no fuss. The tape comes off the roll easily, without pulling the backing off the next layer. It cuts cleanly with ordinary scissors. The tape sticks well to the bottom of the carpet, even when it's very rough and uneven. And, the white backing peels off without any trouble. Once pressed down, it stays down. It's possible to pull the carpet off to reposition, and the tape will stay on the floor. This probably weaken the bond, though.I used this on a problematic round carpet that was a constant tripping hazard. I had tried other tape that quickly came loose and left a sticky mess. This new tape went on a lot easier. It's easier to cut and easier to position. So far, I've had no difficulties at all with this tape.Also, it's a good bargain considering the quality and how much you get. The roll is huge. And, there's no big hub of cardboard in the middle to inflate the size. This one is almost all tape.

This is good double-sided tape. The tape sticks well to smooth surfaces and somewhat-smooth surfaces such as linoleum. It sticks solidly, but can be pulled off with minimal effort without leaving a residue. The tape doesn't necessarily solidly stick to the bottom of the area rug, but it does stick well enough that it will prevent it from slipping on the floor.I'm used to double-sided tape being very easy to tear by hand. This tape has a feel like it's a cloth tape ("duck" tape) when being torn. It's still easy to tear, but there's some resistance.

I recently purchased adhesive rug grippers that stuck to neither the rug nor the floor, but they were really cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. This tape is a little more than twice as expensive as the grippers but the performance is so much better it’s worth the extra cost. It sticks very well to my tile floor but doesn’t stick as well to the underside of my rug so I think this product’s claim of “extreme adhesion” is a bit of a stretch. I did a vacuum test, and with my Shark cordless vac (which has high/medium/low suction settings) this tape held my rug secure when I used the low and medium settings but the vacuum sucked the rug right off the rug tape on the high setting. The product description says it won’t leave residue on my floor when removed which is important to me but I won’t know if that’s true until I try to pull it up and right now it’s working ok so I’ll leave it be. I gave this product 4 stars because it doesn’t quite live up to the hype in the stickiness department but it does work and there is ample tape provided.

This double sided carpet tape was ordered for a kind of unique application of attempting to stick a few acoustic panels to the ceiling of a studio room situation. I applied quite a bit of this tape to the back side of the rigid acoustic panel, and applied them to the ceiling locations. The panels did stick for about a day or two before falling off; they are a bit heavy for that vertical force pulling down. I'm sure the tape would be great for sticking these panels on a wall. The good news is that it did not pull off any of the paint or drywall.This tape would likely work really well for the intended application of keeping rugs in place on floor surfaces. I do have a rug that is on a carpet that I’m going to see if this might help the rug from not shifting on the carpet.

I applied this tape to a rug in the bedroom. I would consistently slip on the corner due to the placement, but this tape is currently doing a great job of keeping it in place.Initially the package was a little difficult to open. The plastic wrap was difficult to get off since the edge of the tape was very sticky. I would recommend keeping most of the wrap on since it keeps the sticky edge contained.The tape unwrapped easily, and was trivial to apply. It took a bit of effort to get the back of the tape off, but that seems standard for any double sided tape.The tape is holding up well. It continues to hold strong without any signs of failing.

I have all good things to say about this tape. There is a generous amount to the roll, and cutting strips and placing them underneath my hallway rugs was a breeze. It is easy to place, and easy to stick down. The hold is good on faux wood floors. The family and large dog have run up and down and across the carpets, and none budge.I am unable to review how removal is after being on the floor for awhile, as we've only just installed it, but otherwise I'm super pleased with the tape and ease of use.

I've ordered a few carpet rug tapes and they haven't held well so my expectations for this tape was low but it's done an excellent job at keeping my rugs in place! Finally! It's so annoying to constantly fix my rugs but now I no longer have to :) I haven't washed my rugs yet so I'm not sure how well it would hold up but I think the price is so low, I'll probably just remove the tape after I was the rug and replace the tape. One of my rugs, I put it all around the border and that rug has held in place 100%. Another rug, I place a line of tape on one end and a line of tape on the other and it's still held up well. I would recommend using the tape all around the border though for an extra firm hold. Overall, since this is the best rug tape I've found and it's a great price, I can definitely recommend it!
