Keeping you hydrated
I filled this up for both my son and I when we go on our bike rides. And it's more than enough water for our entire trip. It comes with a lot of pockets and pouches, a shoulder strap his straw lid a wide mouth is silicon boots. It's easy to carry around, and also easy to clean. Overall grates water bottle for any occasion.

Nice Jugs!
The jug comes nicely packaged but the first thing I noticed was that there was a crease that ran the length of the box lid that made me wonder if maybe the box is just a tad too shallow. I'm not sure if this is the case for others who may have ordered this. Not a big deal - just that much less of a presentation if gifting to someone. It's really not even close to being a deal breaker though. I bet most people wouldn't even notice. Inside the jug packged nicely with molded foam inserts that did their job of protecting the product while it was being shipped. The straw and the included straw cleaner are encased in a pouch. The first thing to know is that this is NOT a jug for any kind of warm liquids. Many of these insulated cups / coolers / jugs do claim to work well for keeping things warm but this one, not so. But then again you don't usually want a hot beverage when you're looking to hydrate.WHY 4 STARS?Along with the packaging, these are the reasons I'm giving it four stars:The built-in handle on the lid is nice, and the slide function of the straw/spout works well too. You can either choose to heft the jug up to your mouth and tilt it to draw water from the spout, or you can insert the included straw inside the cup and draw the water into your mouth that way.It includes a silicon "boot" to slide onto the jug bottom to help protect it from drops, etc.The sleeve is one of my favorite features with this product. It fits the jug snugly, even with the boot in place and it can be cinched at the neck to make it even more snug. In the product posting they suggest that the loop of that cinch cord can be used to clip / slide sunglasses/T-Shirt/Hat/Keys onto but I don't think I'd want to stretch it out that way. I'm sure the sleeve does a lot to help insulate the jug contents but it also has hooks and a long strap for cross-body carrying (if you need your hands free, otherwise the built-in handle on the lids works well too). It has some pockets that you can use to store things like chapstick, money, identification, credit cards etc.I put ice and filtered water in the jug, filled it up, yesterday (8/21/24) around 10:30 in the morning. Right now it's 4:35 am (Ha! I beat the sun!) on 8/22, and there is still ice in the jug. Granted I'm in an air-conditioned home so this doesn't speak to how well it will last when outdoors in the sun but it worked as well as my Yeti and my Stanley tumblers in the same conditions.WHY I DIDN'T GIVE IT 5 STARSThe straw is an issue. I put my ice in first and then pour the water in and as you've probably experienced yourself, this causes the ice to meld together. The straw gets inserted to the side of the lid underside. When trying to put the lid on, this clumping of ice would cause the straw to come free of the lid. I had to first take the time to break up the ice clumps and then try another two or three times to get the lid on snugly with the straw in place. When I finally got it in place I found that it pulls nicely and works well. But this morning when I got my jug and went to take a drink I found that I had to tilt the jug to take a drink because the straw had come off again. It's a gallon jug, I don't want to have to heft it up to my mouth and tilt it to take a drink. I know that seems lazy but it IS a large jug and heavy. The point is really is that it's a struggle to get the straw to work the way it's designed.I hope this is helpful!UPDATE - 08/23/2024: It's now 8:11 a.m. on 08/23/2024 and the ice in the jug is gone but the water is still cold. Amazing!!

Excellent
With all the doodads and thing-a-ma-bobs this water bottle has, if you can't find a way to drink that makes you happy, there is no pleasing you.

HUGE JUG!! Love the durability and the Strap! All Day Hydration for Sure!!!
I have been using this "Jug" for a while now, and I LOVE it!! Its a quality made product that will literally last forever. You may have to replace the outer sleeve, but the jug itself is stainless steel and very well made. I try to drink a gallon of water daily to hydrate, and so this is that jug I carry around when I am gone from home all day. They do not recommend hot liquids so that I would focus on water or hydration packets with this one. It is dishwasher safe and comes with an extra straw for the inside and a strap to carry it. Although the top handle is durable, hiking or walking around with the strap is GREAT. If you don't have a cover on your cell phone, the outer pockets are great, but they're too small and too tight for my cellphone, which has a cover. And a set of keys also fits nicely in the outer pocket. The strap is long enough to open up and have it hang down your back to carry! Thats amazing.

Keeps ice for over a day while on the course
I use this for golfing. I love it! I can fill it with ice and it will keep for way longer than the full round. I can't say enough good things about this!I use it regularly with no plans of replacing it. It is big, but the case and strap make it easy to lug around.

minor insulation
Seems the insulation layer is rather thin for the container, itself. The outer fabric sleeve adds a little more, but only for a short period of time. This is well built and has a good carry strap. Do not depend on the insulation for longer periods, though.Review edited after first attempt at removing the jug to fully clean the outside of it. The jug is extremely difficult to remove and replace from/to the sleeve. This makes maintenance a chore more difficult than it should be. Porting it without the sleeve means without the strap, which was a large reason to have obtained this jug.

"Now that's what I call some high quality H20"
The amount of water and how long it is kept cold in this water bottle would make Bobby Boucher very happy. The Hydro Gallon, more like the Hydro Half Gallon, is a great water bottle with lots of pluses and a few negatives.Pros:๐ Holds 64 oz of a cold liquid and keeps it cold for hours and hours.๐ The wide opening makes filling it with ice an easy job.๐ This thing really does allow a high and consistent draw from the straw. I like to call it the suck rate. High suck rate.๐ Handle is nice and sturdy๐ Included bottom rubber ring to prevent the loud and boisterous gong sound when it, inevitably, hits somethingCons๐ The neoprene sleeve is pretty worthless. The stock images show putting a phone in it or other things. The reality is that these pockets are so tight that if you are putting anything in it, it's gotta be pretty skinny and flat.๐ The lid being really large means that it will be difficult to replace as most other water bottles have a standard wide mouth lid. This kind also screws into the bottle and requires a gasket to keep it sealed.๐ The box doesn't hold the water bottle when it comes with the neoprene sleeve. The.box had a serious bulge that put the French pole vaulter, Anthony Ammirati, to shame.๐ This has a serious price tag to it. You can find other similar water bottles and much lower prices. Also, do not buy the sleeve option, I just can see it being worth another $8.I received this product with a price of $42.99 with the sleeve and, without the sleeve, it was $34.99. I would probably price the water bottle around the $30 range without the sleeve.
