Well, well, well… it does work!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this last year because our Pergola has been getting hit pretty bad with these carpenter bees. I never noticed until I started seeing these holes in the wood and bees coming out of them so I did a little research and then came across this bee trap. I hung it last year, and never got one single bee trapped in this thing. This year, however, I moved it to a closer spot where the bees seem to congregate this time around and to my surprise, it is actually working! I am still thinking about buying some of the spray to attract them to the box if this problem persists, but overall, it seems to be working OK

Had this for several years and it works!
Every Spring we have a lot of carpenter bees…they’ve created holes all in our front porch trim by the gutters. We purchased this several years ago. The picture is from this spring only. This year we put a little honey and water in the bottom of the jar and it seemed to work even better than prior years. I recommend this! Hang it close to where the carpenter bees are burrowing around your house. :)

Well Made….
Well made but the holes are way too small for carpenter bees we have here in W Virginia

This trap is pricey but it works
Carpenter bees were starting to destroy my new covered patio and something had to be done. I installed this trap three weeks ago and have caught six bees so far. The boring appears to have stopped. I learned some tips from my parents who have been using similar traps for years and have caught literally hundreds of bees with them.First, do NOT waste your money on the expensive baits advertised on this store and others. You can use something like honey or simple sugar, which is what I used. Google “simple sugar recipe” and you’ll see it’s cheap and easy to make.Second, you must put the trap where the bees are. I mounted mine directly under one of the active bored holes. You may need additional traps to cover larger areas than 10 square feet.Third, once you catch your first bee, you will start to catch many others. Bees are attracted to the pheromones from the live and dead bees and you may not need additional bait going forward. This means you will need to keep some bees in the trap when the glass jar gets full. If the thought of having dead bees hanging around grosses you out, my advice is to simply not look at the trap very often. It is much better than having live bees and destroying your property.Good luck!

Works Well!!!
I was doubtful at first but when I read the reviews, I went ahead and took a chance! It actually caught carpenter bees immediately.

Trap is working but it took 3 years for the bees to find it!
I hung this from a tree near our house 3 years ago and the carpenter bees finally found it a few weeks ago! The jar is now filling up with dead bees (several more each day). For what it's worth, I never used a lure but just hung up the trap as-is when I received it.
