Earl Grey in WHITE - Yes!!!!
As a long time tea lover of all kinds, herbal and caffeinated, I was amazed and happy to find a really great Fair Trade source from India for Earl Grey in white (EG is flavored with a hint of Bergamot, a type of orange, not lavender BTW).I'm now on a very restrictive diet to regain my health eliminating ALL caffeine (sigh) tho due to its low caffeine, anti-oxidant and other health benefits, white teas are allowed. Phew. If you think de-caffeinated tea/coffee is ok for you, try looking up what chemicals are used to do that... ugh! But herb teas just weren't cutting it for the 1st morning brew. And there are VERY few white tea sources (do NOT get me started on Lipton etc with their bland dust fragments in chemical-ridden tea bags). So I was very happy to find Vahdam's many types of white teas, not just Earl Grey. The Earl Grey White from Vahdam is every bit as good as the regular black tea variety I'm used to, maybe better. Lower in caffeine than the black but the taste is fuller, more flavorful. Huh. Who knew?Founder Mr Sarda's integrity and business sense shows when you receive the product. OK maybe the packaging is a bit much for people like me who usually buy bulk but it is awesome : a delivery vacuum-sealed bag, another smaller ziploc to repackage your allotment for the week in to keep it fresh, both of which are lined with that silver food grade material, a coupon, info on the company, etc, all very pretty and elegant. You get 50 gm (that's 1.7+ oz or about; if packed tightly, 4 Tbl or 1/4 cup dry weight tea leaves for we Americans) which doesn't sound like a lot BUT consider that these are the actual tea leaves (go ahead, measure the crumbs and dust from a "regular" tea bag), and these are tips no less, where all the goodness, the taste and the health benefits are concentrated... AND you can re-steep the same big leaves 3+ times and still get the same taste (again, we Americans don't usually know tea as well). So its not so pricey after all, is it?On top of the value you are actually getting for a decent, lovely, aromatic tea that makes you say, Wow that's Nice! vs something that's just hot water, bearable if you add sugar and cream, there's more: The company's founder in India, Mr Bala Sarda, has spent years cultivating the teas, sourcing them and developing his business while treating his workers to a decent wage and living conditions. How many companies can say that? Can say that 1% of your purchase goes to the education of the boys AND GIRLS who are the children of his workers! We take for granted our public education in the US, not available to all in many other countries. So, my hat's off to you Mr Sarda. Thank you.I will definitely re-purchase my Earl Grey White from Vahdam and am looking into the many other varieties of white teas offered as well; then branch out into the other black varieties once I'm well again. I know as I'm sipping this tea it's NOT from the disrespected labor of someone who gets a bowl of rice a day for harvesting it. I challenge you to google the story of this brand, read the dedication to the plantations, the workers and the teas that are named Vahdam. Then taste them. Samplers are available too. You'll be a dedicated convert to this Vahdam brand as I am. Oh, and I did NOT get a free sample to write this review (Tho I wouldn't pass one up-wink!). Entirely a random customer.Highly recommend!

Best Earl Grey White in the world!
I used to purchase my Earl Grey White at Teavana until they were bought out and it was discontinued. I searched everywhere, and tried many, many other brands of Earl Grey White. Nothing compared, until... one day... I happened to discover VAHDAM Earl Grey White. It was like finding the Holy Grail, finding my way home after being lost, discovering a hidden treasure. I'm once again a very happy tea connoisseur when it pertains to Earl Grey White teas. Not addicted mind you, just a tea aficionado. Thank you Bala Sarda.

Not what I expected
Taste earthy. Not smooth. It is more of a bark taste. Won't buy again. But if you like earthy teas this is for you ❤️

Weak
If you enjoy a hearty cup of Earl Grey, this is not your cup of tea. Perhaps I misunderstood the "White Tea" aspect of this product, but to use the name "Earl Grey" is a misnomer.

Mild but flavorful Earl Gray tea.
With black tea I am not a really big Earl Gray fan but this white tea version is my favorite. Some of the white teas don’t have quite enough flavor for me. This one is wonderful, strong enough but not too strong.

Measured Amount Made A Difference
I have loved all the teas I've gotten from Vadham, especially the Chai teas. Their packaging, the freshness, the attention to detail, are all reasons I keep coming back to them.I purchased a Winter White Earl Grey from another company and it was amazing, so I thought I'd give Vadham's a try. The first time I used it, I put the recommended amount in a metal strainer and brewed it (8 oz water) but it was so bitter! I didn't want to give up on this because I know this brand makes incredible products! For my second try, I purchased some sealable bags and a heat sealer and made a smaller measured amount in a triangle bag and brewed 8 oz and it was not bitter at all and very smooth. It's not as 'earl grey' flavored as the other brand, but it has its own mellow style. White teas are a different color leaf than black and after brewing the leaves were green and fragrant. I like the lower caffeine option (they do print it is caffeine free, but I've read that white teas do have some caffeine). I will continue to enjoy this tea, brewed in bags and not brewed in metal tea holders!
