I was hoping to gain a smoky flavor on my proteins since I can't actually have a grill.While the smell in the bag is incredible, it doesn't really impart that smokiness into the proteins.

I've used this salt in my salad dressings, on chicken and fish, and in baked goods, and it's such a delicious flavor. For a mineral salt, I am surprised at how white it is, but this is not said with any doubt about its quality. I am very happy with it. It IS, however, twice the price of other high standard mineral sea salts that I have bought in the past. That would be my only hesitation about purchasing it again.

Looks like a solid sea salt, that is indigenous to North America. However, I never received this.
