Recommend for Mandarin-English!
I bought this translator for Mandarin - English translation and it's worked very well. It seems to be the best translator for the two languages so far. It is very easy to use and the battery lasts several days. I still have the world wide internet so I will see how it will work without internet and will try different languages.

Better than a free Smart Phone Translator
There is no comparison between Google translator and this device because this has a split screen and one person talks and two seconds later the conversations translation. As you know with a search engine translator, you have to ensure that the original language spoken using the microphone on your smart phone or typing it must be reasonably accurate. You’ll often have to edit it a little bit, but not with this translation device. You just speak naturally and you’re done, so the flow of conversation with split screen is much much faster and better, more natural.I intend on using it where two Non-English speakers will sit in a two hour meeting in front of the English presenters and this unit. The English speaking person will speak while the unit automatically translate it into the two Non-English speaker's native language--they will read the translation after muting the microphone on the unit because they’re sitting in the front row and I don't want to disturb the people in the other rows. Anticipated limitation-- only short bursts of the English presentation can be translated on this device because that would work best. However, the non-English speakers will have fun doing this and it’s better than sitting in a two hour meeting not understanding one word spoken. And this is a monthly meeting. And there will always be two non English speakers. And yes, there is a Bluetooth function

It works.
I never leave any reviews as I do not have the time. However, this translator is amazing and has been tested in multiple languages and it translates everything down to the T. I would recommend this to anyone.

Very simple and effective translator.
I like it because you don't have to be online to use it,and you can use it anywhere. So much better than any Phone app. I've ever used

Do Not Purchase
Do not purchase this POS. I bought this unit back in September of 2024 and it work great for about 2 months. I finally had enough of this POS tonight and threw it awayDon't waste your money

Dismal performance
First impressions were good. Not as big as I imagined and fits good in the hand. Interface is pretty straight forward and easy to use. Turning on from standby mode took less than 5 seconds. The battery seemed to last several days with moderate use. I also had no problems downloading offline language packets. Now for the cons and there are many... I would rate the accuracy of the translation at 90%. I am using this to translate English to Spanish. Delay for the translation took between 5 and 10 seconds on average. There were awkward moments when it repeated words and phrases like it was confused. The menu has an option to switch between male and female voices but almost always reverted back to female. There are several modes to translate like the split screen mode to read what is on the screen opposing each other. In reality it was not practical and ended up using the normal 2 person mode instead. At first I thought this might be a breakthrough being able to have conversations with my family. It instead ended up being more of a frustration having to repeat what I said several times. In my opinion, these translation devices have a long way to go before they are ready for prime time. Do not expect a fluid conversion. This is meant for simple phrases and communication. Overall I feel I waisted a lot of money on something that does not perform as advertised. This is a revised update after my original review. I would now give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Fairly sophisticated translator capable of translating spoken or printed languages
I requested this electronic translator (photo) because our recreational center is a designated tsunami assembly area and houses our Safety Committee’s Communications Hub for disseminating information to our residents via GMRS/FRS (General Mobile Radio Service/Family Radio Service) radios. Should someone arrive at the Rec Center or contact us via radio and they do not speak English and we do not speak their language, I wanted to see if this iFLYTEK translator would be useful. First of all, it offers many ways to handle translations be they printed word, one-way audio, or even face-to-face conversations. As a test, I first compared a printed proportional font (Arial) in English to printed Spanish, and then a printed sans serif fixed or monospaced font (Consolas) to printed Spanish (table image). The comparison of the Spanish translation of the two fonts is similar, but the monospace font may be slightly better. I then converted English text (table image – [“Recording”], leftmost column) using the fixed or monospaced font Consolas to provide a printed and spoken Spanish version, recorded the Spanish on my iPhone 16 Pro® using the iOS Voice Memos app, and then played this back to the iFLYTEK for an English translation (table image – “[Recording]”, rightmost column). Then, as one final test, I had a colleague use the same Spanish recording, but transmitted it over his GMRS radio to my GMRS radio while I used the iFLYTEK translator to provide an English translation (table image – “[Radio]”). Admittedly, both of these tests taxed the translator, but overall the Spanish to English translation worked fairly well and might do better with shorter transmissions. I also like the fact that I can connect and download audio and text files using the provided USB cable. Oddly, however, you cannot delete or move files using a PC, instead deletions apparently have to be done on the device. Given the expense of this device I opted to purchase a hard case to afford it more protection.PROS• This is a very portable translation device that can provide translations of both the printed and spoken word.• The device offers several methods for conducting translations of a spoken language.• Eighteen offline language packs can be downloaded to the device and do not require internet Wi-Fi connections.• Global network card allows the user to access various languages and dialects.• While the printed manual is not particularly helpful (see CONS below), the “Operation assistance” on the translator does provide more information including text, photos, and animations.CONS• The printed “manual”, while offered in many languages, does not offer much detail (see PROS above).• When connected to a PC, you cannot delete or move files, only copy them, but perhaps this is a safety feature.
