Pretty self-explanatory
The media could not be loaded. This detects something like a relay that's being actuated. So if you're not sure if the relay is working, set this on the highest sensitivity, hold it next to the relay and actuate the relay. It detects changing magnetic fields. It also does detect the coil firing in the ignition system as well as the spark plugs. Do not take the cover off the tip. My video should help you out

Great for ignition wires, spark plugs, and coils.
There is not much of a instructions on "how to" with this test equipment. Im just going by the pulsating light and the beeping noise to confirm that that part I have the pen on is working. For stuff like ignition coils, plug wires, and plugs, its a no brainer. You hear the beep and the flashing led when its working. I can also see if the relays are working but I think its only testing the windings in the relay. So if the contacts on the relay are where the fault is, I suspect that windings would be fine so this pen will still beep claiming that its working. Any type of solenoid should also be able to test with this unit assuming that the windings are at fault. I can see that this unit can go off if two or more items that are working are in a close proximity of the pen. You will have to just touch the object in question to get the best possible outcome. This pen also has the ability to trace the line if there are breaks somewhere. I haven't performed this operation so I don't have any test cases to verify this. I agree that this pen is small and easy to move around for testing. But there are other testers out there that can give accurate values instead of beeps and flasing lights so it will come down to what you need at the end to get a good diagnosis.

Got this to work on coils and a relay but nothing else set it off
Simple device like a non-contact AC detector. This senses magnetic/electric pulses so it works on coils, sparks plugs and relays. It also says it works to find other faults like a broken wire, but I can't find any other electronics under the hood that it works on even in the more sensitive setting. I got it to work on coils and on a relay when it was switching but nothing else. I was hoping for something that would read power going through wires to determine if there is power and possibly help find a break. It does work well for the other "high powered" items so for that it will be useful.
