This R500/A610 (basically the same gun with a slightly different finish/packaging) has become the standard for inexpensive spray guns mostly for home/hobby use but there are plenty of pros out there using them on their YouTube channel.- There are many different kit combinations, and this is probably the one that most people will want. The 1.3 needle/nozzle is the go-to for fine finishes, 1.7 for anything that needs to spray something heavier, some primers, heavy flake, Rustoleum almost full thickness... and 2.0 is what you want for high build products. This is the best price I've seen for the whole kit in a while.- The LVLP rating (Low Volume Low Pressure) allows you to get away with a much smaller compressor than other guns, especially more traditional HVLP guns, most 20some-gallon compressors will keep up with this even for large jobs like a whole car.- You will get the fine finish of a MUCH more expensive name-brand gun, but this gun sprays a little slower than those guns. The larger the nozzle/needle combination the more material you can put down at a time. You'll also find that some of the big $$$ (Sata) cheat and their 1.3 tip assembly is closer in size to a 1.4 or 1.5.- This is the most inexpensive gun I know of that enough people is using that you can get decent support and replacement parts easily.If you want to get into automotive or fine furniture painting/spraying this is probably your best combination of low price and quality.

I've been using R500's for 15 years. This manufacturer makes a bad version of it. I bought it for the extra fluid sets/air caps but it DOES NOT spray like the other R500's I've used. The spray is coarse and it's hard to dial down for a fine finish. Additionally, can't get more than a 4" spray fan out of it. I screwed up and missed returning it by 3 days. Gonna have to eat this purchase. But you don't have to. I took the hit for you.For the record, I'm a licensed contractor and have been refinishing cabinets for 40 years. This gun is even worse than the cheapest Harbor Freight guns.

Great Starter Kit for those that are wanting to do small DIY projects around the house. I recommend YouTube for more tips on how to appropriately use it for a great finish. Thus far, I am happy with the functionality and spray quality.

This gun is perfect for little side projects around this house. It makes quick work of alot of things that would take forever to paint by hand. I used it for my fence and it was so nice.

The trigger is stiff and gritty. It feels like detents almost in it. I took it all apart and cleaned it and reassembled but its still there. Almost like clicking as you depress the trigger. Feels like something is wrong with it.

This is a well equipped spray gun with accessories, everything you need to start painting. It took us a bit to understand all the parts and their use, and of course some trail and error with the nozzle orientation and size. This worked well for our use outside for a large picnic table and benches. Make sure you thoroughly clean everything when done, and then I would clean again to ensure you have not left any paint residue in the gun.

I am taking on a few paint projects and wanted separate guns for different applications. This one is great quality and includes everything you need. I like that it includes the gauge so that you can make sure that you start out in your target range to get the right pattern. This looks more professional than some of the other guns in this price point. So far, this will do the trick.
