I purchased this CD after watching a repeat of the Old Grey Whistle Test, on which this band made an appearance. I remembered that I had watched the programme on the original showing. It evoked more of my memories of that period and thus I decided to purchase the CD. The band was obviously an influence on several other bands, mainly in the UK because of the basic beat underlying the music which can be traced in other groups, most of them now disbanded. I enjoy this type of "primitive" basic R&R/R&B/Country. For myself, I consider this an excellent purchase and recommend the CD.

Ignore the review complaining about a fault in the song Simple Man, I have tried several times to hear this through high and low quality systems and cannot hear any fault!MY REVIEW: One of the greatest purchases you will ever make, I only knew Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama before this and now have discovered many more great and some better songs. There are other compilations but none as good as this, has more songs than any other and is still cheap.ONLY PROBLEM: The back of the CD gives wrong track listing but inlay notes have correct and iTunes fines correct listing.

These guys rock, and I'm not just taking about the band, Online music films games have always delivered exceptional quality for price to me, and as for the cd, it will continue to be a timeless classic.

Great intro to the early catalogue of Skynyrd music having previously only heard the big ones like Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama and Simple man. Fave? On the hunt - what a great track !!!

Brilliant collection. Bought to replace an older broken cd.

This is lynrd skynrd if your buying this you'll know there more obvious songs but when you sit down to listen to it that's when you realise exactly how talented and truly in touch with the southern soul and blues they grew up with and there love for this genre is reflected throughout the album for fans of articulate and expressive rock this is a must have
