Kong Fat Tire Mountain Bike for Kids, 20-Inch Wheels, Blue

It was a little bit of work to put together, but not bad at all. I can’t believe I got a bike this sturdy and nice shipped to the house. Fat tires are nice for our dirt roads and beach. My 8 year old daughter wanted it in pink…but it’s such a fun bike she got over the blue. It is a nice blue though. Obviously a little heavier than a regular bike, but if you are riding off road, it’s worth it.

Oh my God this is a very well made bike . My 8 years old son loves it , he has been using it since he got it . I am so happy to see my little man happy .He makes my days each time he's on this bike . I can not even have words to describe his happiness. This was very easy to put together for me as a woman , it only took me less than 45 minutes . If you want a different look of a bike for your little man please go for it you will not regret but note that it is little heavy for your boy depending of his height and weight . This bike is really cool . I'm very happy with my purchase so does my son. Took a risk as there were some negative reviews and is sold out in local walmarts etc. No issues (other than the instructions provided where for a different bike!!) Youtubed the same bike and got the idea of what went where. A Christmas gift for our son. will award 5 stars on the basis no apparent issues. Great price and looks 'cool'

This bike is a lot heavier than my fat tire bike, but my grandson was pretty excited to get it. He already has a high-quality mountain bike, but he wanted one that he could ride in the winter time or on beach sand. He's only 6, but he's been able to ride a bike (without training wheels) since he was 4 (he transitioned from the strider bike to a mountain bike.) So if you have a little kid that's not an experienced biker, you may want to ensure they lose the training wheels first! This is a good sturdy bike, and I'm sure my grandson will get lots of great rides from it!

Received this Mongoose Kong Fat Tire Mountain Bike, 7-Speed Shimano Drivetrain, Mechanical Disc Brakes, and 20-Inch Wheels, in Blue for Christmas for my 8-year-old granddaughter. I had it professionally assembled/tuned for $75......best thing I've ever done. This bike is designed and built well...but it's always the fine tuning by an expert bike assembler that makes the difference between unbalanced tire spokes, breaks, gears, and proper lubrication. She loves the bike as with gears and fat tires it is much easier for her to peddle up hills, on dirt, grass and even sand. We feel fortunate we purchase it new for a grand total of only $285.27 with Amazon Prime free shipping on December 5, 2019. WE WOULD DEFINITELY BUY THIS BIKE AGAIN and AGAIN.

I held my breath when opening the box for damage (small shipping box hole) to the bike via shipping. The crew who packaged the bike did an excellent job of protecting it for shipping. With all the cardboard & foam in all the right places it arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. Thanks Again

Wonderful bike! Worth every penny and every pound (it is heavier than the regular beach-only FATBOY bikes) 6-old-son rides it endlessly. We pack it to beach for him. He also rides it on regular trails. (Paved and unpaved) Just don’t go in river beach of dry sand, rocky beach is ok. Dry sand is too hard.

The brakes handles that are plastic and broke in the first few days, we replaced with metal parts.
