Easy Grammar Grade 6

This book provides daily practice for Grammar which takes just 10 minutes. Though the approach is different but it will result in long time benefit.

Our yearly independent testing professional asked what Grammar curriculum we used after our children had made several year jumps in this category. In 7th grade, one child is now at grade 18+ level (meaning after 4 years of college) for this subject. Very impressive curriculum. The teaching is very easy as well. The author makes it quite simple to refer back to her Teacher's manual -- which is identical to the workbook except all of the answers are filled in correctly. The workbook and teacher's manual contain very explicit instructions for the teacher and the student. It explains very well each step of the way -- identifying and building on knowledge. It takes time to first teach prepositions and finally teaches the easier of the subject like capitalization and punctuation.I was told by the company to put my child into the age appropriate grade level for the book. So, if you are homeschooling and are having trouble deciding what book would be suitable, this would be the best advice. It was for us. Each subsequent year will teach the same items; however, it will use more age appropriate language for the grade level of the child. Then year after year, move onto the next level to reinforce the grammar skills.After waffling between several types of curricula, I will not go back to any other book other than Easy Grammar. It has been immensely helpful for us.

I love this product. I use it as bell work and take home. My class did well on the grammar portion of the end-of-the-year, I believe, because of the consistency of these books. There is a mini-lesson you teach when you come to a new topic, and then make sure the children understand the new topic by doing the first lesson in that section. After that, you pair them or have them work individually. I like how it spirals and covers, so much information about grammar. It sets the students up to be better writers. I use this with my adult ESL students.

I bought this so that I can review my son's homework and quickly check the answers to see where he is having issues without having to sit and think about all of the different rules. The teacher book provides a blank page and a page with the answers so if you are looking for one book where you can photocopy the page and have an answer key (or in my vase just look at the answer key) this is a great book.

Simple, yet direct. Can be self guiding if you have an older student. They introduce new concepts in tiny steps, then very simply they practice that step, while reviewing past steps. By the time you move on to the next step, you are still practicing the past steps so they all make better sense and flow together. I personally was dreading having to teach grammar to my sixth grader, but this has truly made it simple. 10-15 minutes a day, and we are learning together. I often buy home school curriculums just once because I am looking for something better, but this is a purchase I will be making again.

I bought this for my 6th grade home school daughter and it is great! I bought the teacher's edition and it tells me how to teach her the lesson and has the answers. I just tear out the pages for my daughter and give her the work to do. The lesson plan goes in a nice easy to follow order. It is a thick book too. My only neg is the pages are hard to tear out. Good buy!
