Well made and very solid
So far, I am really liking this potato masher, It is comfortable to use, sturdy, and dishwasher safe. I used it this morning to just slightly mash up a blueberry compote and the blueberries were popping through the holes (not a lot of them), but honestly that is not the masher’s fault, just mine for lazily not wanting to find my smaller masher. What I really like about this is how well it holds up when you apply pressure on the bottom (the part that mashes). Unlike my dollar store masher, this one does not give and holds its shape. Also, it’s ergonomically designed, and very solid. It does what it’s supposed to do and it does it well. The only thing I would be wary of is how the advertisement states you can use it on any type of cookware. I would absolutely NOT use this on a non-stick type or any cookware that says you should not use metal. Other than that, it’s definitely recommended!

The BEST potato smasher in my opinion
Ok, so for years I had one of these. It was my mother’s and she had it for many years… and then it broke. This style potato masher is, in my opinion, the best. And so, I barely made mashed potato’a for the last 4 years. I simply could not find a well made potato smasher until now. This potato masher is made in one piece with no open welds to break. I love this… and yes, I have made several batches of the best mashed potatoes in the last two weeks and it is holding up fantastically.

Sturdy, but makes larger pieces
This is very sturdy and is easy to grip and be able to mash firmly. My only complaint is that the holes are larger (and fewer) resulting in larger clumps coming out of the masher. If you look at the photo on the Amazon page you can clearly see this.Of course, if you normally beat mashed potatoes with milk and butter you'll be smoothing everything out. Compared to my previous masher, that took a little longer. However, I have a favorite summer pasta recipe that requires me to mash a pound of cherry tomatoes and I found that it handled that task better than my other mashers.

Quality masher.
One piece masher that's strong and durable. There's not really a place for this to break other than just the metal bending. I've been making guacamole and this has been working out great. No worries about this failing and its pretty light to. As long as you're just using it for potatoes that are softened up to avocados, or maybe something a little harder should last you a very long time.

Heavy duty
I like the feel of this smasher in my hand, it feels well made and is comfortable to hold. Looks strong enough to handle plenty of meals for years to come. And the price is great. This is one kitchen utensil you don't want to be without.

Very good masher
Halfway between my traditional masher and a ricer, this is an ideal tool for mashed potatoes if you want less effort than using a ricer. The holes are not tiny but way finer than the old fashioned one with a grill s-wave pattern. It is not quite as sturdy as I was hoping for, but for home use it should be fine. The handle is round and thick enough to get a good grip, though a good wooden handle would have been perhaps better. Overall, a good addition to my kitchen accessories and it will get good use, I'm sure.
