Morrisons Garlic Granules 55g

I add this to most of my food garlic is great for you and adds some really nice taste 😋

Tasted great, no complaints, not much to say about it though!

Better than other brands I've tried. So far it's stayed fresh in jar and not clumped as some do. Can smell the oilyness of the garlic which gives a lovely fragrance when frying.

Ordered early in lockdown, these have been tremendously useful, and better than similar products bought in the past. Buying 6 at once presents a bit of a challenge, but Best Before dates are encouragingly distant. Not the best replacement for fresh garlic, but certainly has its uses.So why just 4 stars? Two caveats:1. The lid.Tends to pop open once used. One of the issues with this product is to stop it hardening into a solid lump. A screw jar without a flip top (let alone a double flip top) would help it keep for longer. Or even a single more secure flip top as found with competitors. Decanted mine into a tiny Kilner jar today - let's see if that improves things.2. The jar.I think that I have a use for these around the house (don't ask!) but even so, people may choose to buy glass jars as they are recyclable. The plastic lid is an issue, of course, but pretty much a standard one. However, the wrap around plastic label may look smart but compromises the recyclability of the jar. And it is really difficult to remove. Why not a paper label? Other sellers settle for this.And there was me thinking that supermarkets were discouraging use of plastics with the carrier bag charges, etc.?

Good value garlic granules , cheaper than the big brand name but still good taste and strength , I always keep some in the cupboard
