Super price on great art book needed for research

goya's portraits have been a revelation for me, especially as i have gotten older. his ability to render realistic images that "penetrate" into the feelings of the sitter seem particularly successful in his portraits of women. maybe i am just a sucker for large dark eyes and fancy dresses of beautiful fabric, but i find his portraits of women to be uncanny. this book has all of the best portraits by goya of women that i know of, and, again as far as i know, no other book does.

The editor of this exhibition-related catalog is the great Goya scholar Janis Tomlinson who was also the curator of the project. The exhibition which presents a chronology of the great artist into seven groups, is supported by essays from distinguished contributors who offer a variety of perspectives about the theme each is an expert on. A great publication on all accounts.
