These hose guides have had a fair bit of use over the recent spell of hot dry weather. They work perfectly and are a simple solution to an annoying problem. I also bought a couple of much more expensive metal ones with decorations on top, and to be honest I prefer these plastic ones - they work just as well and are more unobtrusive. I will be buying another pack or two.Advice for new users: it was slightly difficult to get them into the ground, and because they are made of plastic you don't want to give them a heavy whack with a mallet. I ordered mine when the dry spell was well under way. I would suggest installing them before you need to, when the ground is a bit wet and soft.

I haven't used these yet. the head is larger than i expected, with a decent gap for the hose to thread round. The spikes are also sturday, but as i have a very stony and chalky earth i will knock in a spike first so as not to put too much strain on the spike when knocking it in to the ground.i am pleased with them, and once i have used them i will add to this review.

Exactly what I wanted. My old ones were getting bent as I keep moving them. Now I have more I don’t need to move any. Plants will be safe as the hose pipe won’t be pulled over them

Easy to install and useful for horizontal hose use. Not so useful where the ground is less horizontal.

having a large garden which in turn requires a good length of hose these are perfect for keep it off the boarders.
