I have been reading how good this stuff tastes, but i was hesitant as usual. Universal Nutrition is one of my favorite companies because they actually do their best to deliver the highest quality product for the most inexpensive price. All of the products i have tried from this company have delivered results. This really is one of the last remaining companies that tries to satisfy its customers and not get filthy rich form them. With that being said, even though i was hesitant about buying "Real Gains", i went for it. I just received the product yesterday, and couldn't wait to try it out.First of all, the bag is huge! I am still amazed at the amount of product for the price! Amazing! So after i got back from the gym i ripped into this stuff and made myself a 3/4 serving in 5oz. Vit D milk and 5 oz. water. i have a cheap shaker bottle with one of those spring balls inside and this stuff mixed up perfectly!!! It reminds me of powdered creamer being mixed with coffee. After i mixed it all together, i was nervous about tasting this product. I can honestly say that i have never finished any protein powder or weight gainer i have ever bought. Most of the time i will give away about half the product because eventually i just cannot tolerate the way it makes me feel (car-sick). Well even though i have only tried 2 full servings of this stuff, i KNOW that i will finish this 10 lb bag! Even with 3.5 scoops of this stuff in 10 oz of liquid, it is still very liquid and not viscous at all! The taste is also unbelievable!!!!!! Actually, i find myself enjoying this so much that i drink it within 5 min. If you are looking for something that mixes well, actually tastes GOOD, and i don't mean "good for a protein or weight gainer", and has a great ingredient line-up, this is something you want to try.Granted, i have not been taking this product for long enough to see results, I will give it 5 Stars because Universal has ALWAYS delivered with their products for me.

I'm really impressed with this product. Someone else opened the bag before I wanted to use the product and it sat on the shelf for a year before I used it. There were no issues with shelf life and I'm not even positive the bag was fully sealed. I wanted to cut weight more than gain, but I eventually realized that this could be a very controlled calorie meal replacement that works out to only about $1 per meal! I've been losing weight and adding muscle while carefully using this product for the last 5 weeks to keep my overall calories down.Great shelf life and value wouldn't matter if it was gross. The Cookies N Crème flavor tasted so much better than I expected.I mix this with a Blender Bottle. I add 3-4 scoops, 4-6 ice cubes and cold water. The shake mixes fully with ice cubes gone in only about 30 seconds. I've tried adding some chocolate milk after a workout and that was very good too.I've had someone else tell me that this upset their stomach. You may want to start out with only a scoop or two to test your tolerance. I haven't had any issues with the normal serving size.My only complaint would be that the zipper is too small for the 10.6-lb bag and it needs to be more heavy-duty. When the product level gets low in the bag you'll want to transfer it to a plastic container because it becomes tougher to scoop.

The vanilla tastes really good. Price per serving, Real Gains is one of the cheapest weight gainers out there, especially when you note the fact that its carbs don't come mainly from sugar. It has 52g of protein and 88g of carbs, which is good for immediately after a nice hard workout to replenish your glycogen stores. I like the fact that it also contains inulin, which has been shown to increase calcium absorption(albeit, a benefit they don't mention or 'brag' about).The things I don't particularly like about it(and the only reasons I gave it a 4) are that it contains acesulfame potassium, and isn't too easy to mix. I stir all my powders with a spoon, and ON Gold Standard has the best mixability of them all, but I have a little trick I do with stubborn powders. After you've been mixing for a while stop stiring and let the "chunks" float to the top. Use your spoon and squish the chunks agains the side of the cup and rub it back and forth to break it up and get the rest to mix in. After you think you've got them all, or atleast the biggest ones, stir it again for a while. Now there should only be tiny pieces left, if not 100% dispersion. Using this method I can, more often than not, get 100% mixability with this protein although it is a bit time consuming.

I like the product, my problem with this was the shipping cost!!..It turned out to be way too expensive..Won't be ordering again.

My observation after using this product for over 6 months during one year period:1. Tastes decent2. Very good gain but not clean (obviously!! It's a gainer after all!!)3. Easy to digest, no bloating and no gas.4. I do not know why, but it gave me very high sex drive. The difference was noticeable. This makes me nervous to be honest, as this product is not suppose to increase testosterone level.

I’ve been using this company products since 17y and I’m 25y now. I have found them being very good as quality and very useful.
