HITMAN 2 (PS4)

One of the best games of the last 10 years, and possibly my favourite PS4 game since Alien Isolation.The classic Hitman formula is back: Here's a simple objective: kill this bloke/woman. Do it anyway you can. Get out.Such great variety on offer, wide open missions with complete freedom in how you do it - just be sure to play on Master difficulty or at least go in the options and turn all the help off - otherwise the joy of figuring cool assassination methods will be spoiled by the dumb-dumb friendly info bombardment.There's an elegance to Hitman, a certain subtlety that other games do not possess, and sadly, that many people do not understand or appreciate. Buy this wonderfully crafted, obsessively detailed game, and enjoy one of the most unique stealth/action series ever made.

Having no played Hitman since Absolution on the XBox 360, I was fairly nervous going into this game. Must say I was delighted to see Hitman returned to form. I might buy the previous instalment (I was put off by the episodic nature of it, which HITMAN 2 doesn't have) and the next. Excellent, fun game with great gameplay and very creative ways to eliminate targets.

Hitman 2 is a very fun experience that offers you six large levels with hundreds of NPC's and dozens and dozens of ways of assassinating your targets. Your goals are always simple but the steps to reaching them range from straight up shooting, strangling, and poisoning to the more entertaining accident kills. You can for instance make someone be eaten by a hippo, or entomb them in concrete in a construction site.The worlds are very nice looking too. The locales you operate in are diverse and colourful with wide-ranging and well thought-out level architecture . The characters populating them have good dialogue. It pays of to overhear conversations as that often opens up new paths to eliminating your targets. Each level is designed to be played multiple times over to discover new and twisted ways for killing the morally corrupt targets.Unfortunately, the experience is marred by a few short-comings. First of all, the game needs to be played always online. If you don't have an internet connection or you don't approve of sharing your information with the server then your game will only be half-available. You will get no rewards like new weapons from playing the missions. This is a big annoyance for privacy-conscious gamers like me. Moreover, because the game partly loads information from the server loading times are rather long. This is bothersome as I often found myself wanting to quickly reload a previous save after a botched attempt or to see a different outcome for a specific action. Since loading takes a long time it somewhat diminished my overall enjoyment. Finally, the story is barely there. It doesn't have a gripping plot line or good cutscenes between missions (the story is told via still images with a voice-over). The lack of interesting world-building and story reduces my long-term interest in a game.Nonetheless, Hitman 2 is a lot of fun in the gameplay department. It encourages exploration, offers up each objective as a riddle to be solved by observing an listening to your surroundings, and had a refreshingly dark sense of humour.

This game is a fantastic game. It moves on from the story of hitman so you will need to play that to understand a few aspects of the story. The maps are extremely large and detailed with new obstacles and challenges at every corner. I really like the sniper mode but unfortunately it’s a bit lacking in missions etc. The game is short but you do need to replay it in order to get every outcome possible which makes it very interesting.

Definitely worth getting. Hours and hours of entertainment to be had from this game, due to the plethora of different approaches you can take to the missions. Chose to get it brand new from Amazon in order to get the DLC, which you wouldn’t get second hand.

Hitman 2 (which is actually like the 10th in the series) is a great game. It drops you right into the world of Agent 47 and let's you mostly do things your way. If you own Hitman (2016) on either disc or digital you can use Hitman 2 to download the "Hitman Legacy" add on. Legacy is every mission from the 2016 Hitman game, remastered and accessed within the menu of Hitman 2. A great little touch. For this price you're getting an awesome game.

Love this game, alot more freedom to plan how to assassinate the targets, can spend all day playing, love it, enjoy xxxx

Got as far as the hunt for the ghost in Mumbai , graphics magical , then it crashed and the part I was in vanished … all progress lost … report requested , report sent … nothing yet … offline half the access plots disappear from the screen so that they are no longer accessible .. I’ll start again after breakfast ; frustrating !!!!
