This is by far the most powerful, features packed ,dominating champion of all mirrorless professional cameras there is. Hands down the ultimate, the king.The 50 MP BSI 35mm full frame sensor packed with the sony exmor processors delivers amazing results, printable to the size of murals on walls!Obviously I was worried to sell my beloved kidneys but now that I have the Alpha 1 with me , doesn't seem like a bad bargain I tell you. I'll be very short- its the flagship product of Sony. Very often we get DSLR's only to know that photography is good but videography suffers- but no more. This Mirrorless DSLR is the expert at both. Interface can be confusing even to a pro DSLR user like me, but we get hold of it. You can start with Programmable Auto mode, that's best. Then move on to Shutter and aperture priority.Shooting is superfast- 30 photos per second with full autofocus. It shoots high res pics like a damn video! Autofocus is blazing fast! Couldn't take a video in the brief time I had though.Please avoid listening to negative reviews and ratings- review bombing by non users is a big problem. Although, its not necessarily value for money, but it certainly is the best performing DSLR.EDIT on 12 Sep 2024:- A1 is no longer the best. First, Nikon Z8/Z9 came close to Sony A1, but now we finally have a camera that clearly beats both of them:- Canon R5 Mark II. R5M2 has a small but noteable advantage in terms of autofocus system, which uses much more reliabe AI+ Phase detection AF, plus now it tracks your eyes through viewfinder to autofocus if you want.And with 8K60, 4K120, 2K240 video, global shutter, more dynamic range stops than A1 (13.6, Sony A1 had 13), that too with cinematic range Canon Log 2 and 3 and SRAW, and you have a winner, although by a small margin.Plus, with a launch price of around 3.6L, R5 Mark II is far cheaper than A1. The only big problem-> very less Canon RF lenses right now.So, anyone looking at A1, better check R5 MArk II first and Nikon Z8/ Z9 next. And decide thinking about lenses too, although be informed that good quality adaptors exist.
