Brilliant console. After a lot of research I found this was easily the best retro console currently out there. For a little more money this is worth paying for over cheaper alternatives.Great graphics, easy to add games onto the SD yourself.Mainly brought to play old Nintendo and Pokemon games, it doesn’t come pre loaded with Pokemon however it’s very easy to add them just YouTube if you don’t know how.Comes pre loaded with lots of games. If you’re looking for a retro games console get this one. Would recommend buying with a USB SD card reader as it makes it easy to add more games straight from your laptop to the console.

With a whole of games preloaded on to this, it was really nice just to choose a console from my childhood & play some iconic games again. I tried a bunch & the controls seemed to work well on this handheld despite some being made for PlayStation 1 & 2. When it works, it works well & pretty enjoyable. The sound quality isn’t top notch but neither was the sound effects in these games so honestly paired pretty well.However, I found a bunch of games which simply didn’t work - booted to black screen, restarted the device or just required a reset to get the handheld functioning again.It’s nice when it works but if there’s a game you wanted to play & it doesn’t work, it’s really disappointing. The overall quality is a notch above the rest & the unboxing experience was pleasant!

That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘Aivuidbs RG40XX V Handheld Game Console RG 40XXV 4.0'' IPS Screen with 64G TF CardRG’ 40XXV-Black-NEW 2024, because it looks like a lot of fun!The handheld console arrived in a branded box, well packaged and looks smart if you wanted to give this as a gift. The console has a semi-translucent plastic shell and the mini joystick has RGB lighting. For a flat oblong console it was surprising how quickly I got to grips with this. It has a familiar _-Box feel to the controls and is easy to navigate. The screen is large and bright, the sound quality is okay, the controls are responsive and the choice of games will keep me busy for a while! The console and the games (Arcade, PS etc) have a nostalgic retro feel whilst the internal tech is up to date, which makes it enjoyable to play these old games, without the frustrating glitches and pixelation of old. This is a fun game console, lots of games to revisit, portable, rechargeable, modern tech and surprisingly ergonomic given the shape. For the price at the time of this review of £94.99, this isn’t cheap, but for the tech, the quality and the number of games, I can understand why. 5 stars.

The unit features two built in TF slots.The console has built-in 2.4/5G WIFI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and supports 2.4G wireless controllers and also wired and Bluetooth controllers.Not just a games console but the unit also features a video player, file manager and e-book reader (supports txt format).External ports allow connection to TVs through HDMI and external controllers can also be connected.A full featured and very versatile handheld games console.

Well, if you like old video games, this might be for you. It's a bit weird that's for sure because there's not much explanation of what all the buttons do because the games are from different platforms. There's a joystick a D button on 4 more paddle type buttons on the back. For some games, the display is 90 degrees skewed meaning the controls are all on the left and not below the display. Quite well packaged but it's a bit flimsy looking.I'm not convinced it justifies the price of the item.
