Must have tool for 3D printing!
Inexpensive and works like a charm. Durable for what I use it for, 3D printing. This is a game changer as bambu labs prints scaled with mm. I can get a more precise measurement of the object I'm going to scale versus the ruler/measure tape. This has simplified the printing process with it's quick and easy to read display! Is this used for major woodworking/construction? No, opt for the stainless version for that.Comes with an extra battery as well, which is nice considering the price of batteries now a days.

Worth It
To my naked eye, this is the most precise measuring instrument I own that's at this price point. It feels a little cheap, but it functions very well. As far as I know.

An inexpensive knock-off of a very useful digital measuring tool
Recently I acquired a 3-D printer and have had need of a precision measuring device. In the sub-$10 category, this caliper meets the need, but don't expect it to last as long as a more expensive one. This is the second one I bought, after the first one stopped working properly. It comes with three ways to measure: inner, outer, and depth. Display is sharp and clear, and the buttons are logical and easy to use.The battery lasts me about six months or so, with occasional (once a week) use. It uses a standard LR44 button battery. One minor gripe is that the battery case on the first caliper I got was on the looser side, and would pop off too easily when I was sliding the caliper open. This is because the battery is right near the thumb grip that you use to slide the caliper, and I'm always gripping the the battery lid by mistake. This second model, however, seems to have a tighter battery lid that does not pop off without considerable effort. Also, I've trained my fingers to avoid touching the battery lid.The first caliper lasted about two years, then started behaving erratically. Obviously, a digital caliper that is unreliable is useless, so I had to scrap it and order another. The throw-away lifestyle. Anyway, the new one works great. If you don't mind spending about $10 every year or two, you can just go this route and it will serve you well.I don't have an objective way to test how precise this tool is, but at least it works consistently down to half a millimeter, and that's generally good enough. For someone needing a more precise and reliable industrial tool, probably you should spring for a Japanese tool like Mitutoyo that costs twenty times as much but likely is better engineered.

Love this thing it really works good
Man what a deal! A set of digital calipers for nine bucks after tax outstanding! But what makes it really impressive is the fact that it not only works at a $9 price point but it is accurate down to thousands of an inch I can't stress enough when you're dealing with things or material that small/thin how important it is to be precise when a thousandth of an inch can be the difference between success or failure in this thing does it for $9!! I don't think I've ever used so many exclamation points in a review before LOL it looks great it's easily readable it seems to be built well and it feels fairly sturdy. I can't speak to the battery life because I haven't had it long enough yet to know how good it is battery wise but I will say this it comes with the battery and on top of that it comes with an extra battery for when that one runs out which I think is very generous again at $9 LOL I mean how much does a watch battery cost? Could you get two of them with this thing I'm just very happy with my purchase I love this product all the way around. Though there is one feature I'm not the biggest fan of but it would not sway me from making the same decision again, but whenever you move the caliper so say you have it turned off and then you open it up it automatically turns itself on and gives you the reading which is actually kind of cool in its own way, but this thing reads all the way down to 0.1 mm so you can move it in such a way that it doesn't even open but if it feels the movement it's turning on and I'm not saying like you can shake it around in your hand you know whatever no problem but if you put the slightest amount of pressure in between those teeth even if it's so small you can't see the opening it can feel it and will turn on, but if anything I think that speaks again to how good/cool this is It's accurate and can pick up the tiniest amount of space / distance

Good and Cheap!
It's plastic but it's surprisingly good quality and easy to use. Exactly what I needed.
