Works well but go easy on carpets
I've reviewed the smaller versions of these before. In those reviews I always mention that they are only suitable for small areas or stairs because being hunched down like that for a long time isn't practical or good for your back long term. These ones with the longer handles are much better if you want to do a full room. These will get everything and more than everything if you're not careful. You could ruin your carpet if you put too much pressure on it. Just scrap gently across the surface and it'll do it's job. They don't replace a vacuum cleaner or even a normal brush but they do manage to get hairs and lint that has become stuck. Best thing to do is vacuum/sweep first, then use one of these and then do a quick vac again after. The detachable handle is nice and can be used at various lengths. The swivel head is ok for hard floors but I personally found it wasn't very useful on carpets.

An effective, good value and convenient way to remove pet hair from carpets
[I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review, as part of the Amazon Vine programme. That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘Meff-Mluk Pet Hair Remover Carpet Rake Lint Scraper with Adjustable Long Handle for Couch Rug, Dog Cat Hair Removal Brush Tool, Reusable Fur Broom for Car Furniture Mat Stairs’ to collect pet hair between vacuuming sessions. The carpet rake arrived disassembled, it is very easy to assemble. The poles and the head of the rake are metal and quite robust. The blue coloured parts are a strong plastic. The metal edge on the rake works well collecting hairs on the carpet, like magic almost.Do be aware of the sharp metal edges when you handle the head of the rake as it is sharp. Due to the sharp edges I am not confident about using it on the sofa in case I cut the fabric accidentally. I would have preferred it if the handle could lock and stay at a 90 degree angle. Currently the plastic fixing allows the handle to move from side to side. For the price of £17.99, at the time of this review, this is an effective, good value, convenient, electricity free way to collect pet hair on carpets. I am happy to recommend it but do handle it with care! 4 stars.

Great for hairy carpets
I have two very furry cats that drop a lot of pet hair everywhere. Normal hoovering doesn’t get all of it up as it gets stuck deep in the carpets.I’ve tried things similar to this before and they work very well. However the benefit of this one is that it’s bigger and comes on a longer handle. This means I can do large carpets quicker and I’m not having to bend over for long periods of time, which is not good for my back.It has an extendable pole, which you can lengthen or shorten by adding or removing sections. The only thing I’d really like to see with this is a telescopic handle to make this easier.

Long handled pet hair remover 'rake ' - works by dragging it over carpet. Then need to pick up hair!
This review is for the 'Meff-Mluk Pet Hair Remover Carpet Rake Lint Scraper with Adjustable Long Handle for Couch Rug, Dog Cat Hair Removal Brush Tool, Reusable Fur Broom for Car Furniture Mat Stairs.'- This pet hair remover rake arrives in a brown cardboard box. - It is easy to assemble by screwing the pieces together (once you decide which piece goes where!) - The length of handle is nice and long, or it can be used shorter by leaving some pieces out.- It is useful to 'rake' up pet hair or human hair.- I have a carpet which my long hair sticks to, so it is difficult to hoover it up. I tried this long handle carpet-raker on it and found it drags rather than glides across the floor. It does work though and scrapes the hair into a pile (which them needs picking up and throwing away as it does not have a collection bin).- I would have preferred it if it was easier to pull across the floor.

Effective, but takes effort
This carpet rake works really well to pull up cat hair that has been ground into the carpet - much better than a vacuum, in fact, even one with a rolling brush that's specifically made for pet hair.It does however take effort to get it to work, as you have to rake the carpet pretty vigorously - just something to keep in mind. It might be best to vacuum first and let the vacuum pull up what it can, then rake, then vacuum the raked-up piles.Note: not good for long-pile carpet.

Easy to use
This pet hair rake is easy to assemble and easy to use.I don't think it's as effective as a handheld one as you can't apply as much pressure - but it's much easier on the back and knees! The rotating head is annoying and I wish it could be locked or was just fixed in place as it has a tendency to move around a lot while using it.I won't be using it on the sofa as advertised as I think the sharp edges could cause some damage.Reasonably priced for the quality and a good product for those that live alongside animal companions!

Effective for any hair removal off floors.
I do not have any pets in my home, I do however have hair on my head that moults really badly! I constantly find myself having to unclog my hoover because my hair is caught up in it.This has a carpet edge on it which seems quite sharp to touch but does a great job of collecting together all of the hair in one place and then I can bin it rather than it clogging up my hoover. It attaches together in 4 pieces easily enough and just screws on. The only thing I did find is that it seemed to be more effective going one way on the carpet and not the other, almost as though you have to go with the grain not against it?

Works great
I have a handheld version of this brush, and although it's great I do end up with a bad back when I go down the stairs using it. This new long-handle version of the brush is amazing. No more bending, plus I can decide how long I need the handle to be because it comes in 3 sections and you don't have to use all of them.It has a swivel head which makes it easier to get into corners and it does a great job of picking up cat fur. The only small issue I have with it is that, unlike a normal brush, you can't sweep all the fur to the bottom of the stairs and pick it all up together. I had to pick up the fur at the edge of each step.Other than that, the brush/rake is great and definitely a good thing to have if you suffer from back pain.
