Mascot XM Chef Kitchen Knife 8 Inch - Professional Chef knife - German High Carbon Stainless Steel- Ultra Sharp Cooking Knife

So to start this off, this is my day 1 review. I'm gonna update this after about a month of constant use. I'll see what edge retention is like, how the handle holds up, and if the blade continues to be as beautiful as it is after being repeatedly washed. I was NOT given a discount or free product to write a review, I just did my research and decided to give Mascot XM a shot based off reviews and my knowledge of knives and steel forging.As for feel, the opinions differ here based on hand size and what people are used to. I like a quality forged blade, and I have very large hands. I think the knife feels absolutely perfect in the hand. Weight, grip, rivets, handle material, all of it. To me it couldn't have a better handle. though their blades are just cheap stamped steel that has no heft to it. I own both and strongly prefer forged blades with weight behind them.The general appearance of the knife is beautiful. It has a beautiful center rivet made from 3 copper rings and a bunch of brass rings.Lastly I'll mention the packaging since people seem to care about such things. In a word, it's excellent. More accurately it's over the top. It keeps the blade very stable and provides a very satisfying unboxing experience.Unbelievable service. I just wanted to know if there was a treatment or product to use that would get it out. Both have continued to perform flawlessly over the last several months, even without sharpening (I was letting them go to see when I'd notice a decline in performance). Still about 98% of what they were out of the box. I'm gonna be buying a full set both for my truck and my home in the next few months. I've used just about all the knife brands they make.

For the price, this is a great knife. It came ready sharpened and has decent balance. This is a nice full tang blade. For the price, I don't mind putting it in the dishwasher. The only issue I have is that the scales of the handle are not as well finished as I had hoped. There is a slight ridge between the scales and the full tang of the handle. It's not a showstopper, just disappointing.

Bought this hoping it to live up to its reviews but literally became blunt after about a month.....I didn’t leave a review until after a few months when the knife was completely useless. I stated this in my 1 star review and the next mascot XM replied stating there products have a lifetime guarantee and that they would rectify the situation by sending me a new knife which I received the next day. I now regret not complaining much sooner. Hopefully this will last.Brilliant customer service, really impressed

My wife is working as a chef in a restaurant in Canary Wharf so this knife is for her. Good knife, comfortable to use, manoeuvrability is ok, sometimes it feels not heavy enough for some actions but this is not happening often. It has to be sharpened quite often, also.

This is a pretty good knife! I work in a busy kitchen and I have put this knife through its paces. It is still very sharp and easy to clean. Overall very happy! (If they wanna send me the others in the set to test out id be more than willing ;) ;) ;) ).

The knife is pretty looking and comes in a nice quality box, making it ideal for a gift.So far I've only tested it on some of the basics like onions, peppers, garlic, avocados but it cuts through them all like butter and is a pleasure to use.Notice that the blade is continuous along the straight edge and doesn't have the metal shaping at the handle end that can gets in the way as you often get with lower quality knives.

Good quality and handles nicely. Very sharp blade so don't run your finger down the blade.

I'm reasonably pleased with the knife and for the money decent value. I'm a little disappointed on sharpness, although maybe I'm expecting too much for the money
