Q: what is the origin of the product?

If you want to get some Italian ones, search amazon for "funghi porcini" (that means porcini mushrooms in Italian). The brand is asiago.

Q: I purchased these mushrooms in January, 2014. I have kept them in air tight glass containers for 8 months.How long will this product to last?

We bought ours (16 oz.) in Sept of 2013, and store in an airtight container. We have used it every month since then, and just used some last week. We don't have much left, but what we do have is fine and will use the rest.

Q: Are the mushrooms from China?

My package labeled "Imported from Italy". Does it mean the mushrooms were sourced from Italy? I do not know.

Q: Does this contain only Boletus edulus, or does it contain other species (varieties), as well?

It appears to me that the product is homogenous, and only contains Boletus edulus.
